I'm trying to decide how to get to JFK from SFO - UA is 500AI ea for the flights i need, Delta is less and I can use leftover miles there , but I'm wondering if any chance Delta will waive baggage fees with my SFO leg being a sperate ticket from the DPS one?
Just had my return CDG-JFK leg become the brand new AF A380, in the 3rd day of operations no less. I have no idea where to sit, I just went ahead and chose second row on the upper deck. Anyone have ANY idea about the layout? (besides that J is on the upperdeck?)
Also, my flights are on AF but are DL coded (and, of course, booked on DL stock). AF and DL have trouble assigning seats. Who should REALLY be the ones responsible in this case?

DLATL777 Do you mind to post some pics of the new Air France C class on the 380?
Thanks!

"Affaires" on the A380 comprises 80 seats on the upper deck, rows 60-73 @ 2-2-2 configuration (AB-EF-KL I believe). Row 64 appears to only have AB. Row 65 is an exit row.

I've had the same problem before on a JFK-CDG. DL had supposedly "confirmed" my seats but when I got to check-in, AF knew nothing about it (and of course those seats were gone). Call AF, but give it a few days, perhaps, so their agents get used to the A380?

NOT GOOD NEWS.
My nephew was supposed to take his first leg JFK-CDG this afternoon and he was DENIED boarding by AF. He is in JFK now, working it out with Expedia.

I AM FUMING!!!
Wow, this is the first for this fare. Can you please reply with details? I assume he was booked on DL coded stock, everything was confirmed, similar to the rest of us? You have me worried now as I still have months before my flights.
He was issued a DL coded e-ticket. He's got a DL PNR as well as SQ PNR. He even had a seat assignment on the AF flight and SQ's.
Details are sketchy right now, as he is still in JFK trying to resolve it with AF, DL and Expedia.
He already missed his original JFK-CDG flight and if he doesn't get put on the next JFK-CDG flight, he will miss the CDG-SIN part on SQ.

Thanks for the info. Please continue to post updates if you do not mind. This will affect me directly if there is now an issue with this fare being honored and im sure I am not the only one on here. **waiting with baited breath**

This is not good! Thank you for sharing with us, and I think dozens of FTers are a little worried right now. Please keep us up to date.
We'll see how this plays out. I guess it means definitely don't book any pre-paid or nonrefundable hotels. But I would be iraaaaaaaaaate if I were denied boarding.

Wow, that's jacked up. I wonder if this has anything to do with the SQ segments? Here I was kicking myself today for grabbing KE instead of SQ, but maybe it was for the best...
