I have 2 AF legs (as do many people) on this routing, JFK-CDG and CDG-JFK, respectively.
When I pulled the reservation up on Air France.com today using the AF record locator, everything looked fine except when looking at the flight number and cabin of service on the AF legs. On the main menu, before clicking on the "+" signs to pull down the further information (such as equipment, flight time, etc), my reservation shows this:
DL 8601 - null
and
DL 8550 - null
while all the SQ flights show "Business", as they should . Further, under seat selection, it does not even list these flights until I click on Select or Modify, then it will not give me a choice of seats on these legs and states "No seat selection."
So, should I be concerned. Does this "Null" mean something?
Ill calll them tomorrow as it pertains to my issue, and ill let you guys know. I can still see my seats reserved on the seat map via EF, so I know they exist. Humorously, I am the ONLY one in business current on both flights.

No reason whatsoever to be concerned. My reservation looks the same as yours on AF's website. AF's website does an excellent job of capturing seat assignments on other carriers, but inexplicably not its own codeshare flights. If you haven't done so already, you can call AF at 1-800-237-2747 to obtain (or confirm) your seat assignment. The website will still say "null," however.
I was more concerned about the "null" with reference to the ticket then to the seat assignment. The way it was appearing it was as if I didn't have a place on the AF flights in Business. But nonetheless you have eased a bit of the concern.

Don't worry. This happens all the time. Your reservation is fine!
For example, I currently have at least 2-3 other reservations (on different, "regular") fares flying on AF and KL metal but booked, e.g. under a NW code, where it says "null" on the AF website. I would still refrain from calling them on this issue as it will simply draw more attention to it.

Grazie Mille. Don't worry, I had no plans of calling!
I just checked my reservation on the AF site and it also shows 'null', but if you click on the '+' it says that you're booked in 'C'. My seat assignments aren't showing either (they do on Expedia). As I'm leaving in 12 days, I'll report back here in case of problems, but I don't anticipate any.
I have a tight connection at CDG and was hoping to stand by for an earlier flight out of JFK to CDG. From what understand (which could be wrong), if you're on a "full fare" J ticket, I can stand by for an earlier flight. Is this fare a full J fare? I guess my point is whether I can just show up and catch another AF flight out of JFK without raising suspicion or having them laugh at my face--or worse yet, deny me boarding because of a "mistake" fare.

Changes to flights before travel commences usually trigger a reprice. In this case, I don't think you want a reprice.
You'd have much better luck changing any of the other segments after you fly segment 1.
AF may decide to be nice and let you fly earlier, but they could also send you over to DL for them to re-issue the ticket...

1) How tight is your connection at CDG? And on which airline is it? If you have been ticketed, then it's a legal connection so you should be fine unless your JFK-CDG flight is severely delayed. Even if this is the case, they should accommodate you on another flight to your onward destination without any issues.
2) Yes, full fare tickets are totally flexible but the full fare on this route is ~$14,000++. Did you pay that much? If not, then perhaps you should not expect to "fully" utilise your "full" fare. I would suggest sticking to your original plans and not worrying too much.

...Also, please confirm that transferring from 2E to T1 in CDG requires a landside transfer.
No. There is airside transfer from 2E to T1. Just go downstairs and wait for the transfer bus. Be sure to get on the T1 bus as most buses run between terminals within T2. Buses to T1 run less frequently and can take up to 30 minutes for the transfer.

1) My connection time at CDG is roughly 90 mins from AF to CX--that is, from Terminal 2E to 2A. Do you think this will be ok in terms of transit/connection time? And if I miss this flight, what then? Will I be on an AF or CX flight? For what it's worth, my ticket is on CX ticket stock.
2) Yeah, I suspected pulling the "full-fare" card might be a stretch. Has anyone had experience with the JFK AF check-in staff? Are they usually friendly and will allow standing by for an earlier flight? Or, do they usually pull the KL dragon phrase: "That is not possible."?
