DL has been quiet so far. Perhaps it is trying keep a low profile while honoring the fare. Please keep us updated if anyone has successfully flown on this fare.

I have two DL-coded, AF-operated segments on my trip. I called AF to select seats and was able to do so without problem on the JFK-CDG segment. [SQ seat selection over the telephone was also a breeze]. I was told, however, that AF had no record of my CDG-IAH segment. That segment, however, shows up on Orbitz (with whom I originally booked), on delta.com, and on the official DL Electronic Ticket Receipt which I had e-mailed to me. Meanwhile, delta.com is now missing my DPS-SIN-BKK-SIN segments even though Orbitz, the official DL Electronic Ticket Receipt, and SQ itself, which is operating them, has them.
Strange. I guess I'm eventually going to have to call DL and proceed delicately to get this sorted out.
I called and AF said they didn't have the CDG-xxx return but they saw the rest of the itin. They also said that DL would have to request seat assignments since it was a DL codeshare. I guess I will call again in a few weeks and get it sorted out (hopefully).
If I'm purchasing a separate ticket aboard DL from XXX-JFK before taking off on this great deal to Bali, is it possible that they can link the itineraries together? Moreover--though probably dependent on this first question--can I check luggage at my place of origin and then have it continue through JFK onto DPS?

I suggest you do not attempt to link the two itineraries. There is no reason to draw DL's attention to any of these itineraries.

Ahhhh...but here's the kicker: The ticket, like many mentioned in previous posts, is on a different carrier's ticket stock: In my case, it's on CX ticket stock though first and last segments are aboard AF. What then?
In other words, I would be purchasing a ticket [XXX-JFK]-CDG-HKG-DPS-SIN-CDG-[JFK-XXX] where the bracketed segments are on a wholly separate itinerary aboard DL on 006 (DL) ticket stock.
And of course I won't call the airlines...keeping under the radar is what we need to do.

If your JFK-CDG flight is within 24 hours of your XXX-JFK flight, then AF should be able to check you through, even if your tickets are on two ticket stocks. Don't worry.

That's funny. I called AF to talk about seat assignments for me and a friend, who separately bought tix on the same flights as me. We had already been assigned seats next to each other on most flights, evidently by DL or speedy at the time of booking. For the AF-coded BKK-CDG leg, we weren't next to each other, but AF fixed that easily, no questions asked.
I can sorta see AF pointing to DL for seat assignments on the DL-coded flights, but for the AF coded flights, that's harder to swallow. Sounds like time to apply the if-you-don't-like-the-answer-hang-up-and-call-again rule.
Through-checking baggage should be no problem. Don't mean to set off a panic and invite a bajillion new questions, but actually getting your baggage onto these flights may be another story. My (mercifully) few lost-luggage events have included one failure by DL successfully to get my bags ATL-JFK (I was connecting to SQ, but had checked only as far as JFK), and another was DL taking their sweet time on a connection to SQ at SFO. And don't get Flyertalkers started on baggage making tight connections at CDG. That less-than-ninety-minute connection outbound is T.I.G.H.T. Hopefully, all will go off without a hitch. That said, I'll pack a couple of day's worth in my carryon.
