Do not call the airlines under any conditions! This is the fastest way to kill the trick and bring unwanted attention to your itinerary! And do not post precious deals in this thread, this is by far the fastest way to kill the trick!

************************************************** ******
This is NOT the right place to ask: "Can you help me with a low fare for AAA-BBB?" This is not the beg-it thread, but the trick-it thread.

This thread deals with unique combinations of routes and booking tricks in order to lower prices on airline fares. Prices that would astound the general public are often achieved by the posters in this thread.

Many people, including airline representatives, monitor this thread. For that reason, it is unorganized, very content heavy, often lacking details, and written in shorthand. It takes patience and effort in order to understand the conversation and be able to participate as an active member.

We encourage you to read the entirety of this thread if you would like to get started and to experiment as soon as you understand the gist of Trick It. Lots of time spent reading, practicing, and learning is the only way to be able to reproduce our tricks and discover new ones yourself. There are many, many people who ask for advice here, so productive members are only able to help those who have shown a concerted effort and progress over a long period of time (months).

If you have no idea what this thread is about, a good place to start are various blogs' posts on the subject. At the very least, read the Rules for posting in this thread. They're also listed in the very first post, below.

$1 BF from several airports and carriers, starting in late August and beyond. Fare rules for some (not all) appear restrictive.

$241.10 with app, near 100% FD; 50% FD with desert.

That's something you don't see everyday! Very nice indeed! And some interesting routing options as well.

After reading the posts for the past few days, it is possible to RTW 2 times, if you are flexible on time.

Happy hunting!!

Hey,

quick ITA question. I getting to this screen:

If I click on any fare I'm getting this error: Input Error for calenderfollowup.

This is because I didn't put in anything for the length of the stay.

How can I fix it so I can directly find the 396€ flight?

Thanks!

ITA error - sometimes in the calendar ITA shows one way price in stead of return price.
when you click 396, it will show the price in double.

It has been like this for few months now.

Thanks, Calgery. That makes sense...

Any hints 100% FD for CA?

I see more than 20 50% 3xs but no luck with 100%.

Are they even discoverable on ITA or are the 100% CA FDs OTA specific?

Yeah, this was one of the few riddles I actually understood, though I am not having a lot of success actually getting it to work.

I can get an OTA to price as low as 49.50 € but will not ticket at that price.

AT 79.60 € it will ticket.

It is not a "fare" it is an All-in price. Technically speaking.

Answer is YES as of Sunday morning .

OTA is extremely sensitive to how, when and where you place your X. Kind-a like your first girlfriend. Either she will or she won't.

wwe you sure it won't ticket ?
it seems it just depends on how many tickets on a certain 1x carrier in a low fare remains on the day you're trying your 1x
Sometimes the lowest bucket is depleted, however OTA shows it as available until the moment of ticketing, when it gets the correct data, that there are no tickets in this fare available anymore.

Yes, I agree. I am never good at riddles, a handicap for me in this thread. I found a nice $17.xx base fare but the 3x eludes me. Any clues out there?
