Does Travelocity's Dream Maps still work?

I was reading Vpescado's How to Construct a Mileage Run and there is a link to Travelocity's Dream Map. When I go to the page http://dps1.travelocity.com/dreamMap...AVELOCITY&SEQ= I get the Dream Map page with Dallas as the departure city ( and no map). I try to put Detroit, Mi in as the departing city, hit update maps and nothing happens. I also note the page does not have U.S as a destination, just Europe, Asia, etc. Please help the newcomer. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

Travelocity deleted the Dream Maps feature from their website about 9 months ago , but lets the defunct page linger for some reason.

Any clue why they deleted it?

Good news:: I don't feel quite so inadequate
Bad news:: Looks like it used to be a pretty nice tool.
most disappointing!

Try the following Travelocity URL. This site serves the exact same function as the previous Dream Map but it doesn't have the map. I just used it 5 minutes ago and found a bookable LAX-ATH RT AI for $679.00 in April on DL. Besides we all know where everything is, so map is no problem.

Thanks for the link. Dream maps was really a dream (intended). It was so easy to find fares from other cities and determine that it was much cheaper to fly ORD-XXX rt then XXX-dream maps destination. I miss it like an old lost love who said "It's not you, it's me".

Yes, thank you. That is helpful. It does not appear you can designate a carrier, only a departing city; is that correct?

Thanks for the link. I liked dream maps better but this is at least something.

While not Dream Maps (which I also miss), I've been using Yahoo's Best Fares and the FT page on FareCompare.

If you really want the maps, there's this page from farecompare:
