not sure about earning miles.

the above was on orbitz for 3/18-3/24.

ADD = Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

ADD= Addis Abada, Ethiopia.

I just ran those dates and city pairs on Orbitz -- the cheapest I see is $1652 on BA.

Coach.UA to IAD. ET to FCO then ADD. Too bad the fare is not good to FCO.

Can you do a quick turnaround in ADD and then do a nice stopover in FCO on the way back? Sort of a roundabout (mileage earning?) way to spend a little time in FCO.
