I've found a fare that doesnt have the routing in the rules??
here is the only mention:
ROUTING MPM MPM TRVL PERMITTED
------
Delta Fare Code: Fare Code - TLXPV8
here's a link to the rules::
http://www.delta.com/booking/fareRul...144^maxRules=6
Trying to maximize this one.. Any help appreciated.. thanks.

MPM is Maximum permitted miles. There is an MPM published for the fare which you are not allowed to exceed - but so long as you don't exceed the MPM, you can route however you want (assuming the airline has flights with applicable inventory available, you don't violate the max connection time, etc.).

OK, I have this itenerary:
BHM-ATL-CVG-ATL-MUC-CDG-CVG-ATL-BHM
for $657 delivering 14,610 MQM thats 4.4c/mile... not great..
but at the original price of $490 that's 3.3c/mile.. which is what I want.. but I cant seem to get that fare to book.. ??? any ideas

Yuo might want to reread the first few posts in this thread. The itinerary you describe can not be booked as a simple RT since you visit ATL twice before your destination.
Most likely this is booking as BHM-CVG (BHM-ATL-CVG) plus CVG-MUV (CVG-ATL-MUC) plus MUC-BHM (MUC-CDG-CVG-ATL-BHM).
Did you ever determine the MPM for the fare?

multi-city search, and use city pairs. i.e. plug in "SAN-SFO" but look for "SAN-LAX-SFO" or plug in "RIC-SFO" and choose the options that contain two things: 1. the fare bucket that you want "L, S, T, etc". 2. the most miles you can get for that particular leg. i.e "RIC-SFO" might give you "RIC-DEN-SFO" or "RIC-ORD-SFO", take the ORD routing if there's L availability and if it's longer than the DEN routing.
use those two simple procedures at your leisure, and keep playing around with routings and multi-city options. you'll figure it out.

newbee to MR's -webminar?
I would be very interested in one too.
I would especially like to learn about current tools that provide routing information. The ones mentioned in this tread seem to be outdated and not work anymore.
