Again, and this only applies for Terminal 3 (LHR, VS) once you deplane follow the signs to "Flight Connection Center". On UA, just hopped off the plane, waited a couple minutes for it to be cleaned, and then sat right back down in the same first class seat I came down in.

DME Turnaround

I just completed a BKK-DME-BKK turnaround on TG without any problems. I did not have my return boarding pass, but just followed the signs on arrival to the transfer desk and after about 15 minutes of phone calls and checking was issued a temporary boarding pass to pass through security. At the gate I was given my normal boarding pass. I was able to access the TG contract lounge with my temporary boarding pass. There were signs at the transfer desk for SQ, UA, and LH transit passengers (as well as a few others I don't recall). I know there was quite a discussion about people wanting to do a DME turnaround on UA but seems they've put a halt to it by preventing passenger into DME from boarding without a visa. My guess would be that if you could get your boarding pass to DME (such as by showing a onward ticket which you would later refund), you could get your return boarding pass on arrival at DME, though obviously my experience was strictly with TG so cannot guarantee it. I did take OZStamps recommendations and printed out the information showing the requirements for transiting at DME and showed it to TG check-in staff at BKK. They checked it out fairly carefully, but ended up issuing my outbound boarding pass without any problems. My flight inbound was delayed for an hour due to DME being congested, but I had my temporary boarding pass in hand 20 minutes after arrival at the gate and had enough time even if the outbound was on time. It was though naturally delayed due to the late arrival, so had plenty of time for the lounge and checking out the shops.
