Out of my naivete and excited impatience, I've already bought a DFW-PEK-DFW ticket on AA with presumably the same aircraft turnaround. Presuming that I apply for and receive a visa so the airline staff will let me board the outbound flight, what would I expect when I arrive? From what I've read, it would look like my passport would be checked at arrival, despite being on the same plane back? That being the case, is there enough time to make the turnaround schedule to land at 14:55 and depart at 17:25?
I'm trying to ascertain if I should get the visa and try to make it work, or not bother and cancel the flight all together.
Thanks in advanced

Quick turnaround in MAD possible on AA from DFW on separate AA tickets?
AA Flight 36 from DFW arrives at 9:55 am
AA Flight 37 to DFW departs at 12:20 pm
I am assuming it is the same aircraft for both legs. So if any inbound delay would affect departure as well.

Hey guys,
We a considering a flight on SAA from Kruger landing JNB at 5.30pm. Our Etihad flight departs 7.25pm - giving us a 115min connection from domestic to international. We will likely have a checked bag.
Is this enough time to transfer to our Etihad flight after landing domestic? We are anxious that given SAA domestic delays we may be in trouble.
Anyone have any advice if this is... well, advisable...?

Has anyone experienced difficulty transiting in TPE with luggage? The ones posted here seem to be turnarounds/transits without luggage. I will have to transit between different airlines in TPE and not clear customs, due to passport issues. Are there usually ground agents pulling out my luggage and re-check it when it is not tagged all the way through? I will likely transit from CX to JL. Thanks!

Turnaround SQ in MNL
Couldn't find the right answers in this thread:
Trying to hop on SQ SIN-MNL-MNL in Y and do a turnaround only with carry-on, which one is doable on a weekday in June:
SQ 910
SIN 09:30 - MNL 13:05
SQ 917
MNL 14:15 - SIN 17:55
SQ 912
SIN 12:00 - MNL 15:35
SQ 919
MNL 16:40 - SIN 20:20
SQ 910
SIN 09:30 - MNL 13:05
SQ 919
MNL 16:40 - SIN 20:20
Do I need to leave transit area and immigrate quickly into landside and go back again? Or can I stay within transit, go directly to the new SQ lounge? Will I be able to get all BP before departing?
Thanks for advice!

immediate turn at YYJ?
It seems from FT search and the airport's website that there is still no pre-clearance at YYJ; so theoretically could you do an immediate turn w/o having to go through CA immigration if e.g. arriving/departing on same aircraft?

I ended up spending a few days in YYJ, so this ended up being moot, but to answer my own question in case the info proves helpful to anyone else:
US arrivals into YYJ are segregated off from the departure gate area and must go through Canadian immigration.
I wasn't the first one off the plane, but I was apparently the fastest walker and got to the border agent first. If I'd had to, I might have been able to exit and re-clear security in time (Trusted Traveller/Global Entry lets you cut the line, in case there is one, but you must have your GE card physically with you).
There were staff stationed in the hallways directing us which way to go; I also don't know, if you had an immediate turn, whether you could appeal to one of those people to remain airside. So all-in-all I don't think I'd recommend it.

Same day quick turnaround at ICN
Does anybody have any recent experiences with a quick turnaround at ICN? I was thinking to do a MR to arrive there with LOT from Europe around 9:15 am and depart on 11:20 am the same day. This would likely be on the same aircraft? Any experiences or tipps? Is this dooable ? Do I need to pass security / Immigration?
Any other recommendations?
Thanks a lot - can only find Posts from 5+ years back and I really want to avaid to be stuck in ICN involuntarily

Thanks! I have now booked a quick turn-around to SIN. It's a shame that I cannot stay for a couple of days but schedule doesn't allow it this time of the year.
I read through this thread and others and it seems that SIN is a paradise for transits and immediate Turnarounds. Hope that is still the case? I have about 6 hours between landing and departure and plan to stay airside.
Any tips or recommendations?
Oh and another questions: what do you guys say to Crew / seat neighbours during the usual small talk about where do you travel, how long do you stay?@:-)
It's my first MR and I am a bit concerned that somethings goes wrong or I will be too embarassed...

The wiki on this thread has some collected info and links; it's geared towards people doing a SIN MR from the US on DL but the stuff about SIN airside might still be useful.
Crew/neighbors may not even ask. If they do, some will understand the "just doing it for the miles" or "to earn status" explanation, if not, the conversation probably won't be a long one A lot of the airport employees are familiar with the MR concept although may not be able to conceal their amusement Enjoy!
