Original premium fare deal was for QR J class travel, originating in Vietnam (SGN and HAN) to several destinations across the Americas, Europe, and Africa. Travel period 8/2017 - 3/2018 inclusive, RT fares in the USD 500 - 700 range (USD $0.05 base fare).

Reports have now been circulating that all held, non-purchased fares have been canceled by the airline. Some held and then purchased fares were also canceled, but several reports indicate at least some of those have been re-instated.

For more information on flying Qatar Airways, visit the FT forum: Qatar Airways | Privilege Club. This thread in that forum is especially useful: Qatar Airways Forum Dashboard.

This wikipost is intended to help us better understand if there are any trends (by route, travel date, and/or held/ticketed status) in these cancellations. In all entries, please include: outbound or inbound departure date, origin-destination, original ticket status (only *if* "Held" or "Ticketed after Hold"), and current ticket status only *if* your ticket was cancelled ("Cancelled" or "Cancelled & Reinstated").

Why CMT?

What does your email confirmation say, respectively the QR website (including confirmation page)?

saw someone posted a screenshot of their booking on QR's social media page; just to, ya know, make sure they've drawn special attention to their booking.

as for Ben: don't be too hard on him. he has 2 mouths to feed and keep in constant motion worldwide at 5* luxury. those affiliate links aren't gonna click themselves...

I have a decent feeling they will honor it. They recently honored the J fares to TYO which were around the same price.

well BRU/AMS-TYO and OSL-BKK were nearly same price but restricted routes and and not wide open like today. so fingers crossed they still honor it. Its been a big hype on the Asia facebook and online platforms. So I guess there are more bookings as we think...

I have a quote saying $800k USD in bookings.

So that would be approximately 1200 bookings. Wont' really cripple the airline.

Yep. Saw the flurry of activity on my commute this AM here in Germany. By the time I could sit and focus on dates, all options were gone. Vietnam is certainly still on our list of must-visit locations!

Enjoy the flights, everyone!

That's a dangerous argument!

If the airline should decide on actions that won't "cripple" them, then cancellation will always be the airline's choice.

(Pissing off 1200 opportunists won't really cripple the airline)

There's no e-ticket listed anywhere. In the confirmation email and on the QR website, it says Passenger Name/E-Ticket #, and below that is my name, but nothing but white space after that.

Just tried to log on to QR site with PNR and it said:

"This trip cannot be found. It may have been cancelled."
