Shame there's no OLCI from MUC as you would've already been checked in for J.

Was your return fairly soon too, or much later?

Does this not mean that you are guaranteed EC261comp - as ticket wasn't cancelled but downgraded.

75% of the 480EUR ticket?

€360 to TYO in Y is not amazing deal...

75% would be the compensation so it would be 120.- that you'd effectively pay.

Either way not enough to entice me to go that distance in Y, personally.

New twist for us. We are not due to fly until January from UK. Just received notification from our OTA that AT have changed our rtn flight only to ECO. So still J and already reserved seats confirmed going out, but have to rough it on rtn. We have 72 hrs to accept or decline. Of course the airline may be no more by New Year anyway!

What do people think.

Decline... not worth risking your money over if the upside is Y. Plenty of alternatives then for not much more I bet.

Sorry to hear that. Which OTA did you book with? I booked 2 trips LHR-TYO, and haven't received anything from the OTA just yet. But I sense it is only matter of time. Wouldn't hesitate to ask for a refund to end the drama.

Omega OTA. No explanation for change just stated "We would like to inform you that your airline has made a schedule change to your flight booked with us" followed by a revised Itinerary with the rtn business legs changed to HX and a new entry below it for the same flights as Economy (X).

We are in it as much for the holiday as the flights, so might be tempted to accept as £1200 for two J class one way is not bad and then look for a alternative business return deal with another carrier over the coming months. Or I could just say **** it and cancel!
