It depends if you book in D or C, you can refer to wheretocredit for more details.. For the purpose of earning elite status, I would go with either A3 or OZ - two r/t will net you enough miles for *A Gold.

This trip alone (only one!) can get you *A gold with SAS. 45586 is 586 points (EuroBonus uses "points" and not miles) above the gold requirement.

Great find. Thanks OP

Curious about the outcome given the previous fiasco, but still, worth a shot.

Don't forget that you need a yellow fever shot with certificate for the return!
Otherwise you'll be denied boarded / be stuck in the airport for a long time / be put in quarantine upon arrival in BKK.

A3 *A redemptions much better value then SAS. Anyone able to nest a stopover in ADD / DUB? Can't make it work on the ET site.

Looks like 72,000 for A3 *G

Thanks for the advice - I would have overlooked that one.

You sure about that? This is the star alliance award chart booking with SAS points. One way is 60%. Two of these and you got yourself a one-way F ticket to the US from Europe (or opposite direction).

Thumbs up Thanks OP a great find!

Was able to book it directly on ET's site, BKK-YYZ return for $1035 CAD for Cloud 9 unrestricted, a little cheaper than originating from SIN. Seems like this fare is available until end of schedule.

- comes up on Expedia.com for almost any Thursday/ Thursday combination from now on

- Ethiopian is known to downgrade to Economy but Expedia may be helpful in that case

Booked one for September, just in case.

Can anybody explain the Cloud 9 Deluxe / CRTCC fare rules a bit further? Apart from free cancellations anytime, will date changes be possible for free? Or will this trigger a horrendous repricing once the 'deal' is over?
