Yeah, that's just what I saw. It's kind of weird, if you try and do that on the Qatar website directly, matching dates etc. you get on GF, it comes out at a higher price. If you start with google flights and proceed to the Qatar site from there (i.e. at the lower price) it works out. At least that's how it worked for me.

I am seeing a very low CAI-BUE on both google flights and matrix (1400€) range but cannot replicate on QR website
Any way I could circumvent that?

I think the difference between google flights and QR website is that GF doesn't use married segments logic for connections exceeding a certain amount of hours. QR website however uses married segment logic for all connections less than 24 hours no matter how you piece it.
If you click on GF and then onto QR website, it'll show the price per GF but it'll re-price at the end in my experience. An easy way to show the price you see on GF is to break up the segments by making layovers in DOH >24 hours.

I'm getting the VISA discount to work on searches where it didn't seem to be before now.
Have just booked OSL-DOH-AKL-DOH-ARN, thanks for the tip.
Priced up at 14,909 NOK which is Ł1434 at today's exchange rate. Not quite such a great deal as that ZRH-DOH-ADL fare last year, but about as good as I think I'll get.
Flying out 3/4 and back 24/4 in case anybody wants to say hi.

CMB - CAI in J/F for approx USD 560 (with visa deal)

Throw in the 5X miles and I'm (gold tier) earning 192,000 miles and 196 Qpoints - that's enough for a return business ticket Sydney to LHR, or two economy, for ~$1375.
