Sure, took me a second to figure it out myself since its pretty awesome.

ICN-NRT-LAX-JFK rt is $2800 and you can stopover in any segment for as long as you want it seems

I am based in LAX, so I booked ICN-NRT-LAX for Dec 27th. Will use miles to position to ICN. This will push me over into ExPlat territory

Then I booked the LAX-JFK-LAX legs for Memorial Day Weekend (May 26 depart, May 29 return)

Then the last leg LAX-NRT-ICN sometime late summer which I can change from whats in the thread.

Hope this helps

Has anyone gotten this ticketed? Mine said "unknown" for a while in the status, now says ticketed, but I didn't get an email e-Ticket, and don't see the ticket number anywhere on the page.

Purchased mine last night and it ticketed in about 20-30min. Used a US credit card and billing address as well with no issues.

I'm confused. For 2800, you have a 5 month layover at LAX?

Both of mine ticketed within 5 minutes. Prior to that, I rec'd confirmation within 15 seconds of booking.
The Korean AA site uses Amadeus and is much more efficient than AA.com

Just log onto AA.com use your PNR to pull up your reservation.

Yes, you can make layovers basically anywhere inside the USA. The reason to eventually go through NYC is to get the price lower.

You can have up to a year layover (OK, maybe 363 days).

One would be borderline certifiable to choose NRT-BOS in Business when you could get NRT-JFK in JL First with a simple connect to AA 3 class First JFK-BOS.

The thing is I'm doing LAX-NRT in F next week, then NRT-LAX in Jan. To me, that's enough of F to make me choose non stop BOS-NRT over BOS-JFK, change terminal, go through security again, then wait, then JFK-NRT.
In addition, JL's Apex business seat is good enough for up to 15hr^. Also, I'll check 4 bags so the less stops, the better chance they won't get lost

In case anyone wants a GF example of what I did

https://www.google.com/flights/?sour...=ONEWORLD;eo=e

Remember, the price shown on GF is incorrect. Click through to the South Korean AA site and it will come down to around $2847

Even better, JL flies between HND and SFO. HND int'l terminal is much better than NRT imo.

Our resident F expert, SFO777, can you fill in on the two Asian carriers

Routing via SFO pushes it close to 3k.

My dilemma as well. I detest the new AA and have no plans to re-qualify for EXP. Just have to figure out where to credit my flights.

Delta is currently offering a flash sale 30% off RT awards to Asia if booked by tomorrow. Although it is only economy, it could be useful for combining with this fare as 49k miles RT to ICN from the US is pretty great
