YYZ-MSP-HNL-SEA-DTW-YYZ for $1,166 on 12/8-11. Books in P which should earn 200% on AS so ~18,800 miles. Lie-flat on MSP-HNL segment. You can find other routes also with lie flat (eg. JFK-HNL) but dates/price may vary.

Or how do red eyes sound?
LAX-BWI RT 12/12-13 $251/~4658 miles https://goo.gl/flights/mY4V

If you didn't mind spending a day in Anchorage, LAX-SEA-ANC-SEA-LAX leave 12/9 or 12/10 $248/~4804 miles. Requires an overnight in SEA coming back and can either overnight in SEA or do a redeye on the outbound https://goo.gl/flights/kQRE

If you're only 10k away from MVP in the partner bucket, you'd only need 10k AS (or any mix of partner & AS). Dates and budget? If not, how about doing SLC-LAX-BWI RT redeye twice? $411/~5838 miles each on 12/11,12,14 https://goo.gl/flights/PMRP

OP needs to watch the fare classes carefully. The linked flight above books into O (25% rate) for under ~3000 EQM when crediting to AS.

Oh, sorry. I always forget that Alaska does that. I'll delete that post to avoid confusion.

I know! Partner crediting is a bit of a mess. An AS codeshare of a AA flight would credit 100% or premium cabins on partners or a low CPM on DL (at least 50% there without checking fare class), but none of those popped out for me from SLC by the end of the year.
