https://goo.gl/flights/Vvp6 for example, note that the displayed fare is only 50% but you can select a higher fare such as E on all segments for about 25% more & 100% EQM so ~14000 miles for ~$1000 USD. Might be able to do the same for SIN-ICN or KUL-ICN. Watch the fare classes though & double check AS' partner charts! Some that are 100% earning on KE such as U are only 50% on AS. Welcome to the posting side of FT hellointer!
Thank you very much first.

Any more optionion...

Except below:
From KM 14000 for 1000 USD, but from Qantas will be 7500 for 430 USD

for those who are around or can position to JFK: this has popped up on the premium fare deals thread, but thought i'd share it here now that SQ is a partner.
SQ biz JFK-FRA R/T for just under $2k, or if you want a lot of BIS time, SQ PE on JFK-FRA-SIN R/T for $1150.

Do you mind flying VX? LAX-PHL-LAX ($251, 4790 miles) and LAX-DAL-LAX ($134, 2486 miles) are available on weekends, and both routes qualify for Alaska's double miles promo. You could do one of each and hit your target.

Are there threads for segment runs? Can someone help with that please. Searched old threads and saw some routes PDX-RDM-SEA-GEG-PDX-BOI-PDX-GEG-SEA-PDX routing but it's not available now because some segments in this were Delta and now that partnership has ended.

Departure Airport: PDX
Miles Needed: 30 Segments (not sure if mileage could be done, 54K miles needed)
Required Spend or Budget: as cheap as possible
Available Travel Dates: Weekends, Sun afternoon, any day
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Alaska only

I'm confused, AS offers automatic status matches. Are you losing status or starting from scratch. If you are starting from scratch may be best to wait until 2018 to MR so you are earning towards 2019 status (you get it as soon as you qualify even if in January 2018)

So if I qualify for MVP in Jan 2018, I have it from the moment I qualify, until the end of 2019?

If you qualify in December you only get the rest of December and all of 2018. So by waiting a few months you get nearly 2 years of status. You are earning status for the next year, airlines just don't make you wait until the next year arrives to enjoy the benefits.

The status is based on calendar year, right? If I cannot meet 50K by Dec to MVP gold. I will start from 0 in Jan, is it?
