That comes to approx 20cpm for the 2643PQM you need (the extra PQM is worthless). I've also been offered smaller amounts of miles at check-in, but they typically are are 20cpm, so even if the offer is 3000PQM, still comes out about the same price.
If you decide to fly, LGA is easier to find because it typically requires a connection somewhere. Example:

BTW, UA174 MCO-EWR is pretty empty up front (2/16 occupied+2 blocked), would be nice if you get CPUed to that lay-flat!

Sorry, I missed jcfla's response somehow. Yup, MCO-ORD x2 is likely your best option. On a single trip, MCO-LAX is possible for $320-ish but that's a 50% increase in price...but if you can find RPU space it might be worth it?

Departure Airport: IAH (houston bush)
Miles Needed: Aprox 15k with United for Gold (sorry, wrote silver on the last one). I am okay with doing this in two domestic trips. ideally looking for all domestic travel like IAH to LAX to EWR to IAH or something if ever possible
Required Spend or Budget: As cheap as possible - maybe up to $400 per trip
Available Travel Dates: looking for a Monday or Tuesday in Dec to make a single day domestic trip probably in the week of the 5th, 12th or 19th

Search RDU--XXX with flat-bed seats with a ticket price about $1600 (PQD of 1400). MCO, FLL, IAH (via IAD or EWR), LAX and SFO. Just go to united App or website to pick up the shortest flights, best schedule and the closest price for your Dollar Run. Good luck.
