I need the 1500 miles to get status. Basically, what's the most miles I can get for that budget? I can fly out Fri or late Thursday evening & need to be back by Sunday (I don't mind staying where I go for a mini-break). Thanks for the help!

those look like your winners for a full weekend. if you want shorter stays those are also available to those destinations and maybe better deals to others, i only searched the weekend.

is $350 your required spend or your budget, important difference as you can get the miles you need for less money if spend isn't a requirement

This happened to me last year, I made the 60K spend on 12/25, and even though it was outside my billing cycle, it still counted for the MQM's on Delta for 2015.

First of all, let me tell you guys I am blown away with the wealth of information as well as you willingness to help on here. As complete newbie in the status arena (trying to get silver on DL for the first time ever), this is both over helming and bit intimidating. That being said, here is my dilemma:

Departure Airport: EVV
Miles Needed: 7500 MQMs
Required Spend or Budget: spending done, budget is $500
Available Travel Dates: long weekend Thursday - Sunday
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: no preference as long as it works for my status

All your suggestions are greatly appreciate!
