johnnywho - April 11-21st - 10 nights in DR
Earnings on DL - * Make SURE you FF number prints on your BP
AeroMexico flights earn based off Distance for Delta. If ticketed in C would be:
6408 base miles and 3204 category bonus miles
For those without status this means:
9610 MQM (confirmed)
4 MQS (confirmed)
9612 RDM (confirmed, base, you get more with status)
$1922 MQD (confirmed)
Source: https://www.delta.com/content/www/en...eromexico.html
Tips from those who have run this:
Get all your BPs at MCO before you depart (if not staying)
Use MEX immigration first point return to USA, second point to SDQ
Ask for two of the smaller forms on jet to SDQ (need 2nd at exit)
No need to pay $10 fee if you have BP to show not staying
MEX return w/1.5 connection is tight. You may miss connect
New AM 737 seats are Zodiac w/ IFE power. Old are total crud
Regional MEX-SDQ has Gogo but only for videos. Very limited choices. No power.
Food was either hot or cold sandwich on mainline. Cold on regional.
How many points did you get crediting to:
Have not yet got points to confirm above earnings on Delta. Will update.
Canceling:
Contact the OTA you booked with to cancel. AeroMexico unwilling to refund via phone, website, and in person.

Hey y'all longtime AA/OW guy switching to DL/ST now that AA went revenue based.
I'm confused on how many RDM's, MQM's and MQD's I'll earn if I credit to Delta.
On the Delta/AeroMexico partner page it says:
(1) Partner-marketed flights that are not ticketed by Delta will continue to earn miles based on a percentage of distance flown* as determined by the fare class paid. Unless otherwise noted, mileage credit is only applicable to SkyTeam-marketed flights operated by a SkyTeam member airline. Mileage credit is not applicable to a SkyTeam-marketed flight operated by another airline.
The asterisk says:
*For purposes of mileage credit, "distance flown" means the calculated distance between origin and destination, as determined by Delta in its sole discretion, regardless of the actual distance traveled on any individual flight.
and:
(3) Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) apply to Medallion qualification. Flights marketed and ticketed by the partner will earn MQDs based on a percentage of distance flown* as determined by the fare class paid.
The asterisk says:
*For purposes of mileage credit, "distance flown" means the calculated distance between origin and destination, as determined by Delta in its sole discretion, regardless of the actual distance traveled on any individual flight.
So will Delta calculate MCO-SDQ as direct or count the distance with the layover in MEX?
Also completely unsure how many MQD's will be credited.
If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be awesome, I hate to be spoon fed but want to make sure I don't screw this up.
Thanks so much!

This is a MQM & RDM run. Nothing more. Well unless you are stopping along the way for a day or at the destination for a day then it is more a vacation run.

I think that is very accurate information. Check for yourself:

BTW, SDQ-MEX is an E90 so don't expect much out of it :P and MEX-MCO seems to be B738 or B7S8 (ticket only says 737)
@schwimmair RDM will vary depending on your DL status
MQM is 6408 * 1.5 (bonus for Business) = 9612 MQM
RDM is 6408 * 1.5 (bonus for Business) = 9612 RDM + any of your status, PM is 80% and DM is 120% => PM would be 17301 RDM and DM would be 21146 RDM (tons!)
MQD is 30% of 6408 => 1922 MQD

If the fare class paid is ZERO does that not trump distance. If incorrect a bonus for those who need MQDs clearly. ^

Just a warning to folks who think they may cancel. I'm having a frustratingly difficult time with AM getting a refund of a J ticket, hope you don't experience the same.
