[FARE GONE] Sa iad/jfk--jnb $390
Didn't see this posted here yet, prices out expedia.nz when you click all the way through. You can book on the nonstop, cheapest is from IAD, Dur as available for a bit more. I've got the link if you want it (didn't work on here for some reason)

I'm shocked this hasn't gotten more exposure. Just booked 4 tickets for friends. IAD-CPT 10/23 and JNB-IAD 11/4 for NZD $2,254 (USD $1,614/4 = $403.50 per person.
Throw in a flight from CPT to JNB for $50 and have a nice 2 week holiday there..... I jumped on the deal a few months back JFK-DOH-JNB-DOH-BCN for $405 but have 10 days down there the same time as my friends with cheap flight to CPT.
Hope others got in on the deal. Thanks OP

What's wrong with them?
I was able to book this open jaw (CPT ow, JNB the other) after fiddling around with the dates. One site said you could use ita matrix to find sub US$800 flights that would reprice, but that technique didn't work for me. I manually entered various fall dates until I found what I wanted.
Is there any history of Expedia cancelling these types of fares?
BTW, I know a lot of flyertalkers like their premium cabins, but personally I'd rather fly these SAA routes in coach instead of flying to Europe (or worse, the Middle East) in biz class and connecting. Getting there faster is better. For $400 roundtrip, it's a no-brainer. And the country is VERY cheap, too, with high quality tourist services.

I think it is the 15-20 hours in coach, I don't think they like that...They can easily torture themselves to Asia for this price and for a few hours less...
