Also this fare is refundable for $256 USD fee (PLN 1000) , changes for $128 it seems (PLN 500) providing routing doesn't change. Am I right in understanding this?

FYI: I paid 120 EUR airline change fee + 45 EUR OTA commission for a date and flight change. See below:
My flights WAW-DBX-MEL-DBX-WAW (all EK metal and QF code except last leg DXB-WAW on EK code) were e-ticketed on Jun 20 by UK OTA for aprox. 1465 EU and then I was able to reserve the seats (3 on Qantas site and last one on Emirates site).
Next morning I was allowed to change the departure date (for one day later) and the second segment of the outbound flight (QF8104 A380 instead of QF8108 B777, same "I" booking class so no fare change) for 120 EUR change fee + 45 EUR commission by Spanish phone service of the UK OTA. And then again I was able to reserve seats, together with additional servicies as chauffeur services (both on Qantas site and on Emirates site).
So it doesn't look like they are planning to cancel it... Fingers crossed!

Ryanair flies to Warsaw Modlin Airport (WMI). It is not easy to get to city centre from this airport (I'm not trying to say impossible but tougher).
Other carriers including Wizzair, Norwegian and Vueling fly to Warsaw Okecie (WAW)

You have a very reliable Modlin Bus - prices start from EUR 2, if booked well in advance. You can change to an earlier bus, if flight arrives ahead of schedule - you need a stamp from the Modlin Bus stand in the arrival hall.

Modlin Bus/OKbus operates a direct, dedicated, service throughout the day. It's very cheap at PLN9 (around EUR2) if you buy online in advance, more expensive if you buy later or at the airport (up to PLN39). It runs through the day, with higher frequency services around flight times.
The bus connects the airport with central Warsaw in 40 minutes or so: some of the services continue directly to Warsaw Chopin airport. The Warsaw terminus is by the Palace of Culture, across from Śródmieście ("city centre") and Central railway stations for trains to Chopin airport.
The alternative is using the shuttle bus to Modlin station and taking the train into Warsaw or directly to Chopin airport. It's a less seamless trip into the city than Modlin Bus, but it'll cost you only the princely sum of PLN15 (EUR3) .
Warsaw's main international airport lost the name Okęcie fifteen years' ago, when it was renamed Warsaw Chopin. "Okęcie" lives on as the local name for the airport as it's shared with the neighbourhood where it's located. Something like Speke for Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
