Once you fly the first segment, you MAY BE ABLE to change the flights, if you try to do so before you fly the first segment, this will reprice. Some people are not able to make any changes even after the first flight is taken without getting repriced at $2000-3000+

Please post dates traveling, itinerary, user ID, brief comments

I forgot one of my bookings and missed the flight. I was still able to call in and get refund. It was booked through JL and I did not try to request for changes but simply cancelled it. Maybe I should have tried to change it and see what they say.

Oh, this is an upgrade to PE, not J. For J it sounded like a great deal; for PE it's a lousy deal.

It ended up being very nice. The cabin was so empty. The staff was very attentive and gave a lot of personal attention. Having a foot rest, a large recline, and a shell seat so you weren't reclined into was great. It came out to $288 usd with the conversion rate. Worth the cost IMO.

FYI they wanted 200,000 Yen for the upgrade to business class.

I'm in the middle of the 2nd trip, currently at a long stopover at IAH. So far so great.

The remaining segments are IAH-LAX-NRT-TPE. I'm thinking to reroute via HNL. Which is considered transpacific segment per fare rules - LAX-HNL or HNL-NRT?

Finished my outbound yesterday NRT-JFK-MIA-ORD-FNT, upgraded JFK-MIA-ORD on a 757 and 767. JFK-MIA was oversold by 6, but of course they didn't not end up neeeding any volunteers in the end, like always

My return is SAN-NRT-TPE in November. Maybe I'll try and change it to SAN-LAX-NRT-TPE. Also might not even end up flying it, will have to try and find out how many RDM miles its worth on the new AA. I'm guessing maybe a 1,000 miles if I'm lucky.

Total routing, with two awards tix for positioning, was DEN-SBA-LAX-YVR-TPE-KIX/ITM-HND/NRT-JFK-MIA-ORD-FNT. Writing up the trip report right now.

Big thumbs down to the Asian carriers crushing my hopes of getting a pic in the widebody cockpits (Denied for an EVA 747, ANA 772, JAL 788).

Did you really expect they'd let you take a picture in the cockpit? It seems like it'd be the exception rather than the rule.

I have SJC-LAX-KIX-TPE on AA stock. I have not flown any of it yet. Tried calling in multiple times to change return date and impossible without reprice. Then I called again to try to change my parents Departing flight (Also never flown any segment), and they changed it to a later date. So confused. So do I have to fly the first segment to be able to make any changes without reprice? Also will I be able to change the routing in addition to changing the date? New here any insight will really help. Flights are all in December. How do I maximize chances of Op-Up? Thanks!

I got the same answer,no changing to later flight due to error price, also looking to upgrade using miles for 8,000 due to Y fare

Anytime I've asked in an American Based Carrier, the pilots have been more than happy to oblige. I only ask after the plane has landed and only if we've been early.

Now that's only been 5 times I've done this, but the pilots have all been super friendly about it. I'm just a kid who really likes airplanes, and having never flown on a 747, I don't think it's that weird of a request.

Could anyone please let me know how many EQMs one rountrip to SJC would provide me with? I currently have 3 flights booked and am wondering how far this could take me toward status.

I am based out new York and fly to Asia quite frequently, would I be best crediting this to Alaska or American?

Thank You!

Any information on this successfully working with this flight, and if so, how many miles would the TPE-SJC round trip possibly generate?
