AA MR EQM query

I am after a little help from the more knowledgeable and experienced AA flyers.

I am looking at a couple of business class MR's but want clarity on the total EQM's for these itineraries, (fare codes in brackets):

Dub (D)-Lhr (I)-Lax (P)-Hnl (P) - Phx (A) - Mco (I) - Phl (I)- Dub

I calculate the following miles
EQM 17191 x2, with 500 mile minimum 17411, Bonus miles 8595

Dub (D) -Lhr (I) -Lax (P) - Ogg (P) -Lax (A) -Mco (I) -Phl (I) -Dub

EQM 17058 x2, with 500 mile minimum 17278 Bonus miles 8529

What I am not sure of is the grand total EQM's for these trips, is the 500 mile and class bonus added onto the total EQM figure?

Also I have read differing threads of when AA is gong spend based rather than miles. Has a formal date been set yet?

Thanks in advance

500 mile minimum counts towards EQM

I have done a couple of runs this year that included segments of less than 500 miles. Example CLT-CVG. I was credited 500 EQM's for each of these segments.

I would imagine a Mod will move this to the AA forum. A formal date has not been set for the RDM spend-based change.

Are these all AA flight numbers? What's your calc for bonus miles?

RDM Bonus @ Plat Level
Dub
(D) - 500 full short
Lhr
(I) - 1000 discount long
Lax
(P) - 500 full short
Hnl
(P) - 500 full short
Phx
(A) - 500 full short
Mco
(I) - 250 discount short
Phl
(I) - 1000 discount long
Dub

Total promo bonus = 4,250 RDM.

I believe there's a discussion somewhere on the AA subforum about 500 min mile for premium fares and the associated EQM/RDM. I don't remember the full extent, but there were multiple anecdotes about how it was handled post-1/1/2016.

Thanks for the replies so far. I was calculating the class of service bonus as 50% of the base miles. All flights are AA numbers.

I'll have a look over the AA sub forum thread.

AA is going revenue-based in terms of awarding RDM, not EQM, so your EQM earning will be 2.0x base miles no matter what time of year you're doing this. I match your 17,411 and 17,248 base miles for your first and second itineraries, respectively. You would earn 34,822EQM and 34,496EQM, respectively.

In terms of RDM, if you travel before the change occurring in the second half of the year, you would earn 150% of the base miles (so 26,117 and 25,872 RDM). On top of that, you earn a bonus 100% of the base miles for being AA Platinum, and you would earn a bonus for each segment (total 4,250 RDM). So in total you would earn 47,778 RDM and 47,370RDM, respectively.

Thanks for the clarification, I am still in two minds as to taking either of the trips, both in April. The miles would greatly contribute towards Ex Plat status.

I have read threads on a HNL MR especially from Europe that some do the return the next day. I don't know whether to stay a few days but that would incur extra costs of course.
