Keep it to 2 segments and enable advanced routing codes on ITA and enter NH+ NYC on the return flight.

What OTAs are people able to book on? I've found space but Google Flights says to call ANA to book and, well, I know that's a bad idea.

I can get it on Google flights sub-$500 JFK-BKK, SIN-EWR, EWR-YUL on 20Oct/28Oct/28Oct but cannot find an OTA to book it on. :/

ETA: AmEx Travel seems to see the fare but now is throwing up "missing inventory" errors but won't tell me which segment.

ETA2: Starting to think it might really be phantom inventory on one of my segments. That would suck.

Wow, very interesting. Thanks so much for the details so far! I've been playing with dates in late May - June on United.com with stopovers at NRT and seeing the same prices. J for about $1500.

EDIT: Sorry! $1500 was just for the outbound...I haven't used United.com for a long while. Carry on with the fun, everyone...

Amazing price! Sadly K earns only 50% on Aeroplan so AC fliers are out, but this is great for an actual trip.

What's the earliest return date anyone's gotten? I'm doing SFO-BKK-YVR and can't get it to price it before May 10.

I bought for April 25-May 10, but would prefer to go sooner.

Thank you, OP!

Use Momondo to do the meta-search.

I think it was a phantom inventory issue. I eventually found a different option on Google Flights which directed me straight to united.com to complete the purchase. Return is now via ORD rather than the preferred EWR and on NH metal rather than UA metal. Going to keep playing with it tonight to see if I can get something better but at least I have something viable. It was a trip I needed to book anyways so happy to see this pop up and save me some cash.

ETA: And, FWIW, I priced one just now on UA at $450ish a/i; momondo is saying CAD$727. Even with the current exchange rate I know that's not right.

ETA2: Not a phantom inventory thing, just a bad OTA thing. Got a real travel agent to price it at the cheap rates.

Cool find.

The best rates don't work for my free dates, but great for some.
