7,800 miles needed on UA out of EWR or NYC area
Need 7800 miles on UA to reach Plat. Out of NYC area, this week or 12/28~31.

Welcome to Flyertalk lezi ^ I hope you have a warm coat

Dec 18-20
EWR-BRU-MUC-DME(OVERNIGHT)DME-MUC-EWR

All UA or LH metal in S or W so credits 100% to UA. I know it is more miles than you need but that is the cheapest single MR I found to cover 7,800mi.

Yes, you need a visa. It's a pain/one of the worst. I'd shy away from this one.

Another choice might be GUM, out on the 28th return on the 30th (or 29/31) for around $1110.

Indeed, I'm with you here. Folks need to clarify what's out of bounds - as there are some excellent MRs to DME right now.
