DO NOT CALL THE AIRLINES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WHILE A DEAL IS STILL ACTIVE.

Fare is gone: You can safely add your frequent flyer number, get seat assignments and poke about in your itinerary.

Checking Your Tickets

Check Alitalia status: https://mm.alitalia.com/us_en/BOOKING/Apvsearch.aspx
(middle names should be included with the first name without a space IN CAPITAL LETTERS. For example, First Middle O'Last becomes "FIRST MIDDLE" "O LAST"):

Check KLM/AF status: http://www.airfrance.us/cgi-bin/AF/U...rRbkAction.do?
(may also work to change/select seats. A name like O'Last becomes "Olast")

Check Ticket Details: http://www.saudiairlines.com/portal/...rlines/Welcome
Double Check: http://www.checkmytrip.com

Will this ticket be honored?

Based on the history of these deals and the US Department of Transportation rules you should be fine if you have a ticket number.

If your JFK-MXP flight shows as cancelled on the KLM website and the Alitalia website gives an error, don't worry about it. That having been said, there are several people about to do this, and if you're one of them please share you experience on this leg (if you cannot edit the wiki, PM WhIteSidE).

Wanna know your booking class?
Go to Delta.com:

Home > My Delta > My Trips > Trip Details > VIEW RECEIPT

Will I earn miles?

If you are in this for miles be aware that you may not earn miles.
  1. Delta: Booked on carrier websites: Yes. Despite earlier concerns, it appears that these fares will earn, miles on DL even if booked via priceline, as reported by cataclysmicvoid.
1.1. For 006 ticket with flight operated by AZ probably not. See this post. Please report back your experience.
  2. Alaska: No on AZ segments. No on most AF/KL segments because of the fare code. No on DL segments if not booked on 006 stock. No on DL if booked into O class. Yes on DL segments if you have a 006 ticket stock.
  3. KLM: Yes (will be at 50% or 25% depending on the exact fare booked)
  4. Air France: Yes (will be at 50% or 25% depending on the exact fare booked)
  5. Alitalia: Yes (will be at 50% depending on the exact fare booked)

More generally, these very cheap fares will typically not earn full miles. In some ways, AZ may be a good program to earn to as it appears many of the AF and KL flights that would earn 25% into their programs will earn 50% into AZ. It seems that most people departing from JFK are booked in O class which may not have much earning. Some people departing from LAX have V or other classes which do have earning benefits. The most earning will probably occur on an 057 (AF) or 074 (KL) ticketed and operated flight, credited to AS, if and only if the fare class is one of those listed as eligible on the Alaska earning website.

DOT already replied and says:
"Based on the information you have provided, it does not appear that your complaint falls under the Department's authority, as you travelled on a foreign carrier between two foreign points outside the United States. However, I will forward your complaint to both companies."

I may get less than 688 miles for my FCO-BUD and PRG-CDG flights in the Skymiles program because they cannot be credited to AS.
Happy travels.
Did you get your miles to BKK? and what airlines?
I going on my trip from ORF in a couple of days.

Just finishing the trip in Shanghai now

Flew JFK- MXP
PRG-AMS-PEK all went well with the flights no hiccups.

only earned 650 skymiles on the JFK to MXP leg, any idea what I could earn the most on for the PRG leg?

Flying a $800 one way back to the states but still $1500 with some flights in europe is not bad for RTW!

Heading out tomorrow (today? 4/1) on a JFK-MXP // PRG-AMS-NRT trip. Booked MXP-PRG on OK so I could see friends in Milan for a night then HND-HIJ-ICN//GMP-PEK-EWR on UA miles to catch some of Eastern Asia. Will definitely report back.

Maybe a dual report.

We're spening time in Milan/Parma, then a day in PRG, followed by NRT. We'll miss each other in PRG and Asia based on dates reported upthread.

It's been 10 months since this trip was booked.

Just wrapped up a great day in Milan. Have a 9:20AM flight to PRG tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing the Czech Republic.

Managed to get a tax refund from Delta for an unused ticket from November. Struck out before but it worked this time and was already processed. I think I'd used this link. Last time I thought I used the same link but the interface looked slightly different.

Booked LAX-MPS-AMS-BUD, PRG-AMS-NRT

PRG-AMS was cancelled on my date. Was rebooked two days later PRG-CDG-NRT on a higher fare class on AF. got 100% miles.

Came back with SQ on suite class. It was awesome!

Probably one of last people to fly this....I arrive in PRG today to find my flight was changed for PRG-AMS-NRT, it had already left. Wasn't notified of anything other than a 5 minute schedule change. They were nice enough to book for tomorrow but problem is that this only leaves 1.5 hrs to connect from KLM to ANA flight that I have on *A united award. Final destination is NOU so good luck changing this. At least I gave myself a day+ on this, the original *A flights were moved up too, I'd be totally screwed.

Anyone know how long it takes to get between north and south wings at terminal 1 NRT? I won't be checking bags for sure...and running most likely :/

That's plenty of time! I once made the connection in 45-50 mins. This may well be a one-off however ANA itself says MCT is 75mins.

Yay! I figured the Japanese would be reasonably efficient. Usually I've had a little wait going through immigration but not too bad.
Fingers crossed these KLM flights won't be late like the AZ one (it came in over 3 hrs late, though the rescheduled connection for me)
