[FARE GONE] UA: IND/MCI/OMA/LNK - CGK $862, 3.9 cpm, ~22200

Lots of availability from late August through early December.

NRT-CGK and CGK-NRT are on NH 767 in L. On a few days, the NH flight looks like it's on a NH 787. Per UA chart, L on NH does get 100% EQM.

I did this run earlier this year, and am contemplating it again.

Also available from DTW and ORD for about same price, maybe a bit cheaper. May be widespread.

Edit: Add MCI, OMA and LNK to the list.

$974 from SAN ^

Looks like I can avoid the 744 X: SFO and get the 788 X: LAX or DEN

This appears to be pretty widespread, I can find it out of FAR and FSD for ~$858 and ~$865 as well. Good find!

Did you do an immediate turnaround? Visa needed?

For those considering making this as a MR, here are my observations from doing it earlier this year. I've almost talked myself into doing it again, which is probably a little nuts.
  • Entry fee into Indonesia is $25 USD. Even though there's a sign saying to pay with credit card, it is cash only. They did provide change in USD.
  • Exit fee is 150000 IDR. There are ATMs in the airport, and one currency exchange booth was open during the night.
  • Immigration gave me quite a bit of scrutiny on departure. I'm not sure if it was the short duration of my stay, or if it was just to hassle someone. Or, maybe I just look a little shady.
  • There isn't anything at all to do from midnight to 4:30am in CGK. A few food stands are open, but that's it. And they much prefer cash.
  • The transit hotel in the airport is "closed until further notice", so don't count on freshening up there.
  • If you are *A Gold, you do get lounge access, which helps. The hours say it opens at 06:00, but I got in a little after 04:00. The lounge does seem to have a shower.
  • The ANA check in desk opened a little before 04:00, and I was able to get checked in without waiting in line at all.

I'll probably end up booking this insanity for some time in November.

EXLEFTSEAT,

Yes, I did an immediate turnaround. It is visa on arrival, and you get a nifty little sticker in your passport. 25 USD entry fee and a 150000 IDR (~13 USD) exit fee.
