I have not seen Canada mentioned yet....

I ended buying from cheaptickets. There are seats available in May with decent connection time. I made a mistake of booking on aa earlier and had to fight to get a refund. Cheap ticket came out to $629.

I booked one on AA.com but I find better alternative date. Am I eligible for the 24 hour free cancel policy?

What dates from SJC?

Cant find any SJC or San Antonio flights under 1k I am using Kayak, what are you using?

BEWARE OF AA

They do not have the 24 hour cancellation policy but instead a 24 HOUR GUARANTEE HOLD. So if you're booking on AA.com and unsure, use the HOLD button at the FAR RIGHT of the payment page. I learn it the hard way today and was on the phone for 2 hours trying to get a refund after I cancelled within 30 mins.

There was no hold option as it involved non-AA operated flight. The three options were "Credit card" "6 Months Financing" and "Paypal" for me. You can make a dummy booking and see.

Was thinking of side trip to PPT but looked further and nothing coming up between those dates for PPT on avios... too long of a stay without the side trip.
