How the heck do I use...

Hey,

This was posted in the forum

"For 1385 euros booked

LCA-LHR
LCY-JFK-LAX-LAS
LAS-LAX-JFK-LGW-PFO

Transcons both booked into A class so I got 940 TPs"

How the heck do I use ITA to book it?

Thanks,
Rob

Can't book directly with ITA, but there are browser extensions you can add to be able to book itineraries. Do a quick google search for booking ITA itineraries and you should find a couple sites where you can get this done.

You may want to ask the person who posted the deal as well.

Using Matrix from Monterey CA to LAX with United

I tried to make sense of previous saved threads but I couldn't. Hope someone can tell me how to use ITA in this instance. ITA quotes me a price of $478.20.
When I book with United it costs $508.20. Not so much concerned with the savings here, but on future more expensive flights, it would be useful to know how to book with matrix. Here is what I have from Matrix:

Fare for 1 senior, 2 youths
Fare 1: Carrier UA GEK0AABN MRY to LAX (rules)
Passenger type ADT, round trip fare, booking code N
Covers MRY-LAX (Economy)

$51.63
Fare 2: Carrier UA KEA0AABN LAX to MRY (rules)
Passenger type ADT, round trip fare, booking code N
Covers LAX-MRY (Economy)

$70.23
US Transportation Tax (US)

$9.14
US September 11th Security Fee (AY)

$11.20
US Flight Segment Tax (ZP)

$8.20
US Passenger Facility Charge (XF)

$9.00
Subtotal per passenger

$159.40
Number of passengers

x3
Subtotal For 1 senior, 2 youths

$478.20

This ticket is non-refundable.

******
Thanks for any help that can be given.

Those are basic economy fares (next to last character in the fare code is a 'B'). Looks like you probably up-fared to regular economy fares on united.com which run an extra $5 each-way on this route (extra $30 for 3 roundtrip tickets).

Anyone has been able to book ITA fare with reallife travel agent?

Hi

Found a great pricing and would like to buy the ticket. Which highstreet TA should I go to? I am based in the UK. Can I go into STA travel or Thomas Cook and how much do they charge on top of the quoted fare?

Also: by changing the point of sale city, I got a cheaper fare. Can these agents book those fares?

If you can, avoid the extra fees. You can try bookwithmatrix or Powertools and see if it works for you.

Yes, they can override the points of sale, but they might not like to do it.
If you want cheapest price, use kayak or any other meta.
