I think I have your density issues as well. A SFO-SJU MR via JFK or EWR nets you around 8.5K eqms. And that's a longer journey.

Is anyone getting 276 from DTW? the lowest I see is 370 for the dates OP indicated.

"Post a 'cost per mile' figure in the first post rather than in title as we get problematic threads when arguments over cpm arise. Also please post the normal cents per mile amount without elite status bonuses as all readers will not have the same level of elite status."
