AA Plat Newbie, 16.250 pts from EXP, DFW...help!thx
Hey,
New to the forum. I need 16,250 PTS on AA to get ExPlat, from DFW. Would like to travel on or around 12/24-12/26,minimum to no stay at night. Help finding lowest price quickest flights and First/Biz ok. Optimal would be in $2k cost range...
Thanks!

Yessir. I should be.
Looking for most painless way to go. All the biz class trips I found were super expensive. Econ to Tokyo did not seem enticing.
Thanks!

Should be available via multi-city, but aa.com is FUBAR'd with the update. Lemme see where I can send you to book this.

Orbitz will book it, but it's a bit FUBAR'd too. If it clears the page and you have to re-enter everything, just do it. It'll eventually book correctly. aa.com thinks the return from MGA is before the outbound, silly people!
Note: AA1078 ORD-MIA will book into Y, but you'll still get the 1.5x points for it. After booking, call AA and see if they will waitlist you for First for that segment.

Failing at both... Obviously first time. The DFW-bos-DFW is that meant to be direct?

Do it the old-fashioned way. Just call AA.
The BOS/LGA trips work just as well, but you expose yourself to NE weather on two days in a row. That's my only concern when your dates are so limited.

Phone... Novel concept.
Agreed on NE weather and combined with LGA being a general disaster... Also weighed the concept of getting stuck in Nicaragua
