Exclamation UA: Need 2408 PQM or 5 PQS from LAS by end of year

1. Will have 47592 PQM and 45 PQS by 12/18/2012
2. Need 2408 PQM or 5 PQS by end of year for Premier Gold
3. Based in LAS
4. No specific destinations required
5. Travel on 12/22 or 12/29, would like to do all traveling in one day

My alternative is to buy PQMs, at a cost of $514 (21 cpm), so that's my budget.

Let me know if you have any questions; otherwise, thank you for your assistance!

I found LAS to PSP on US Airways - one stop either way at the US hub - $381 all on 12/22 - gets you four segs and would get 2000 elite - though US no longer grants 500 - also see the other thread for SFO on *A - great SFO-PSP through LA flight.

Thanks for checking, aacharya. If it had one more segment, I would be all over that. I thought the UA 500 mile minimum applied to US flights, too...?

TUS looks like a good deal for 4 segments, but where do I get 1 more segment? Or, assuming that I get the 500 minimum on US metal, another 408 miles?

Something I've been looking at are possibilities such as LAS-FAT with a FAT-XXX embedded into it with a connection.

Here's the best option I've found so far:

12/22
LAS-PHX-LAS - $152
LAS-PHX-TUS-PHX-LAS - $226
Total: $378

That's the new target to beat

If that's flyable, I would do it. I put FAT on a separate day, because of the timings.

That's a good point. It is indeed flyable, but it's from 6a to 6p. That's...a while for really going nowhere. Thans for the help, AeroWesty!

I believe you need 60 PQS for gold. As long as your 5 segments are on UA though you'll get your miles target through the 500 minimum.
