DL: Need 5000 out of SFO or OAK

Dates looking: Dec 18-23, or 25-30.

Would prefer a 1-day turn or 2 day max. Any location, under $500 since I could buy the MQM's from delta.

SFO-MKE is available from $351 with Dec 17th evening departure and same day return on the 18th with SFO-ATL-MKE-DTW-SFO routing. Can also route back through ATL for slight more miles and dollars.

If you can travel the weekend of the 15th, SFO-EWR is available from $321.

The 18th is so close to the Christmas weekend of travel, you're really better off buying the MQMs. Cheap mileage runs are becoming few and far between now. Anyone not booked for travel by midweek this week is going to be paying through the nose in almost every market.

Which would mean a redeye departure on the 17th should work just fine, correct? Just stay at the airport. Unfortunately, the MKE itin is up to $459.70 now. I don't think you will find many options if you are unwilling to take a red-eye flight out the 17th.

There's a SFO-ATL-LIT-ATL-SFO option for $399.20 with the redeye ATL departure on the 17th. This looks to be about the cheapest option that will get you 5000+ MQM's. If you only need 4500 MQM's, there's some other options with connections through MSP.

I guess you could do OAK-CHI on the 18th - 19th for $387, but it will require an overnight in Chicago.

Look for OAK to ATL with stops either in LA or SLC (or both)... just went ATL-OAK this past Sunday for about 5300 miles to get me over the Gold Hump.
