Need 5K on AA from DFW

I'm ~10k miles from ExP and with AATHX I need ~5K. The only deals I see are to Asia, that is too expensive and I don't need that many miles.

EDIT: Due to another flight having to be rescheduled for next year, I'm 6604 short.

Nidem, it might be a good idea to read the sticky at the top of the forum. When you ask for help, folks need to know the exact number of miles, carrier you're willing to fly, are partners okay, a realistic budget, etc.

No one is going to waste time shooting in the dark with so many other requests coming in daily.

Sorry, but I thought "Need 5K on AA from DFW" answered most of those questions.

I'm not sure about partners, but I assume that is OK if AATHX applies. I didn't think about that part. I'll find out.

I can build a triangular routing for $1,200 that fits the bill, but I doubt if you would fly it. Budget is an important part of it. Do you want to bang this out all in one swoop and willing to pay more to do that or not? We don't know. Some people value their time more than a few dollars here and there.

And let me add: Something like 5K from DFW is one of the hardest MRs to plan out. You're either going to have to do two round-trips to one of the coasts, or do something like DFW-SEA-JFK-DFW, etc. Or a run out to HNL, or the Caribbean. It's not as easy as 5K from NYC where we can simply find the cheapest transcon routing and call it a day.

Due to the lack of time between now and the end of the year, time is probably more important.

There is a nice TYR-DFW-BOS same day, but not enough miles.

Okay, how many miles, exactly. 5,000 on the nose? Higher/lower? I've come within 10 miles of success or failure.

I think the actual number is 9,172. But that depends on how they calculate the miles for another flight.

Okay, knowing that makes a big difference, thanks!

Dec 17 $533.56 DFW-MCO-MIA-SJU-MIA-DFW

That's about 4,800 miles with the 500-mile minimum for MCO-MIA.

If you need more, you could probably do a quick run to AUS for the balance. DFW-AUS-DFW is $173 on 12/31. Might be able to find something else nearby cheaper.

How did you find that? I've been clicking around for a long time on AAs site. (Sorry if that is a n00b question)
