8000 DL MQMs within US?

8000 DL MQMs within US?
Trying to rack up ~8000 MQMs within Delta as cheap as possible. Trick is travel has to be within the US. Checking out NYC- HNL flight for ~$700 (literally never leaving the airport). Any other options? Thoughts? Suggestions? Open also to non flying ways to rack up though buying them from Delta is not as cost effective.

You can also hit your mark with 2 trips from these options that I've seen:
LGA - DFW
Seeing prices between $189 - $209 ai
3774 MQMs (if you connect thru MSP in both directions)
JFK - LAX
Seeing prices as low as $317 ai
4950 MQMs for nonstops in both directions. More if you connect.
LGA-DFW (booked in First)
$395 ai
as many as 5661 MQMs (if you connect thru MSP in both directions)
