Guys, need some advice.
I'm currently platinum and 78,318 M until AA EXP . Home airport is MIA, didn't do much travel this year but next year I have at least 1 trip to Europe and 2 to Asia aside from regular business travel AVG 40k to 55k actual miles.
only a few more planed RT/trips the rest of the year SJU, Dom Rep and france
but the only one that it's already booked is france dec 22 to dec 30, 1/2 of trip not on AA metal.
I do have some extra residual income that I don't mind putting to good use on a few MR to HNL or NRT but 1- ( in my case) is EXP wort it this late in the game ?
2- will I be able to make it in a few weekends before dec 22 ( my weekends can be long and flexible) i can take a friday or monday here and there.
3- suggestions on Best routing options from Mia, have about 2500.00 can go a bit more if needed. ( I can also start the MR at JFK or BOS using awards), and also have 20 500 mile stickers .
I'm new here and I'm just looking for some expert advice on my 1st attempt to become EXP and use some of those SWU take the New wife to asia in business or J next year.
thank you all for your help.

I did, but I only get O/N/Q (0.5 EQP) or Y (1.5 EQP) fares. No H, K, L, M, V or W (1 EQP). Any advice on how to look for them beside calling AA directly?

HKG on codeshare operated by CX? As long as you book an AA flight number, you will earn full mileage as though it were AA operated.
(no visa needed for HKG for most passport holders)
Or look to Europe.....MIA-DFW-FRA-DFW-MIA. Easily doable over a Sat/Sun. Should be about $1200++ per run. Plus, if you run into a problem at FRA, there are lots of options to get you home in time for work on Monday.

I need EQP, not EQM. Can easily do 7-10 nights. I can not pull fares earning 1EQP on aa.com.
