[FARE GONE] Saudia Airlines JFK -CMB RT $582

Saudia airlines has some good fare available.

JFK - CMB RT 582$ including all - one way for 352$ sample date 11/12 - 12/9

JFK - DXB RT 558 dates : 11/23 - 12/2

JFK - KWI RT 545

Fares avl in Kayak, Expedia, Travelocity, priceline.

Same sale fares are avl for Dakha, lahore..

This fare can be used for travel to India, since Srilanka provides on entry visa for Indian passport holders, and you can proceed to Indian cities which would cost around 200$. Please note that you may have to pay extra for the luggage since it would be in a different PNR.

1. Can you please share your experience with Saudi airlines.
2. How is the facilities at Jeddah airport.

Thanks

Good luck with flying .

PD

Nice find! And if you feel like splurging, there's a $1,189 one way in business class on 1/15 according to ITA. The JED-CMB segment is in coach, but the rest is in business.

Basic facilities in JED Terminal South - SV - including a pretty poor restaurant and very limited seating in the transit area. Last time I was there airport police was very strict and it was totally forbidden to sit on the ground
Be careful regarding transit times. If you fly with SV, maximum transit time is 18h or you need a visa which is VERY difficult to get !
If your transit is between 8 and 18 hours, you might get the permission to leave the airport. Immigration will retain your passports and issue a transit permit which must be submitted to immigration 3 hours prior to departure. One coloured passport photograph will be required.
BUT... This is at the discretion of immigration officials.

I verified with DL that all fare classes earn MQM and RDM. If you scan through the other SV post (DXB), the details are posted on page 3 or 4.

No, US passport holders do not need a traditional "visa" for Sri Lanka for short stays, rather they require an "ETA", electronic travel authorization. It's just an online registration for requesting a visit, very quick and easy to fill out online.

They send back an email confirmation within 1-2 days and then you are in their system upon arrival.

Visit http://www.eta.gov.lk/slvisa/

Cost is $20 USD for multiple entry ETA/visa.

Per the confirmation email I received...
"This ETA allows you entry in to Sri Lanka for the purpose mentioned in your application. Please produce your passport together with return air ticket and proof of sufficient funds to the Immigration officer at the port of entry in Sri Lanka. You may be granted 30 days visa on arrival. If you wish to extend your stay in Sri Lanka beyond 30 days, an extension can be obtained. Please visit www.eta.gov.lk for more information."

indeed...

would have loved to book this flight for next year on my way back from SE Asia

but it doesn't come up as an option on the booking sites, and the cheapest direct from Saudia is about $1800 USD one way

Etihad has matched the price

Etihad has JFK - CMB for 580. For JFK - BKK its 500,

KTM for 536$ RT sample date 5/8/13 - 5/20/13

Its really good fare for the airline. I have really good about Etihad.

I don't believe so. Those fares from EY were rocking about 18 hours ago and only lasted for a blink. Click all the way through.
