i have something similar but sin-hnd in sq first i wanted to change to a380 so it can be a suite. I called nh but they said i need to contact the ta.
Thing is the connecting time in sin is only 50 minutes.... So i think it's difficult to change once i arrive into sin.. But if mi flight is late,... Sq may put me on the next day flight on a380. I hate sq red eye to nrt on 77w, they only serve breakfast!
The business seat on hnd-lax isn't good... I think it's not lie flat.... So i will try to change to nrt-lax on 77w even i come in with sin-hnd.

I have a flight rgn - sin - hnd - lax rt on nh stock this december.
Is it possible to change one of the legs to do rgn - sin - nrt - lax?
Doing it this way will allow me to fly the 388 from sin - nrt - lax on sq12
suppose i do it after the first sector, do you think nh will allow me to change the routing as such and also to a different carrier.
Otherwise my original flight will be sq from sin - hnd on the regional c seats, and nh from hnd to lax on the old lie flat c seats.
No way, Jose !!
Complete repricing required. Stick with what you have.
NO WAY will SQ allow you to sit on Suites. R class is completely different in fare pricing from F and you will be charged as though you are originating from SIN.

the likelihood of such changes being possible is of the same probability as another jumbo mistake of this scale happening again.
only human error and agent oversight will allow it, and with so many airlines and parties involved, i m sure all agents will be extra cautious handling these itineraries.

My three itineraries are all on Korean so the elite bonus apparently doesn't apply. 50% Bonus Flight Miles**** on Alaska Airlines, Air France, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, KLM, or LAN.
But I would apparently get 165% for my 4 BKK-ICN flights and 200% for my 4 ICN-LAX flights. First Class Cabin:
Earn actual flight miles* flown in F class of service, plus 50% Bonus Miles.
Earn actual flight miles* flown in P class of service, plus 65% Bonus Miles.
Earn actual flight miles* flown in R class of service, plus 100% Bonus Miles.

Has anybody yet done the transit visa yet? I'm going next week, and I don't have any visa. I'm just transiting at RGN, but I'm thinking that since we don't have any first-hand accounts of somebody getting a transit visa, and the strange wording on the Embassy website, I should have gotten one in advance....

But just to be sure: I'm flying in C class and not trying to upgrade my cabin class. Just want to fly a different route NRT - LAX instead of HND - LAX and on a different carrier.
So only a stop over or date change possible (so long as it is on the same flight number)?
Whatever happened to the days when people were just happy to get the mistake fare honored?
We're waaaaaay past that stage...
And many of us (myself included ) bought sub-optimal tickets just to get in on the deal, and want to refine it, so to speak... but definitely not looking a gift horse in the mouth!

Even on a regular tickets, such changes before the outbound is travelled, repricing and reissuance is required. In the usual case, it gets repriced at the same fare as fares don't change for flexible tickets.
But you can keep trying. Only human error will make changes possible. I did changed my outbound on the TK error fare to Brazil last year but after more than 10 calls. Now , this ex-RGN ticket is complicated with many parties involved , good luck finding a willing party who doesn't scrutinise carefully.
Chances of changes after the first outbound will be better. And call the issuing ticketing carrier.

Yeah I greatly appreciate that my fare will likely get honored. But at the same time I also want to know what options are available as my ticket is 6 months away and may have to make changes to it.

Yes I am aware about repricing before first sector is flown. Hence my initial question was whether it's possible to change routing for one sector AFTER first sector is flown, keeping in mind that my end destinations are still the same - LAX and RGN
