[Gone; T&C change?] AA $100 off Air+Hotel - great for 1-night MRs
AAVacations.com has a promo running where you play a blackjack game and you get to decide on several types of discounts, including $100 off any air plus hotel package.
The discount can be used on any air + hotel package booked through AAVacations.com, even 1-night packages.
It is pretty easy to find a hotel for less than $100 for most of the cities I have tried, so it ends up being cheaper to book the air+hotel than the air by itself. Happy hunting!!

this appears to be a generic code, can this be used over and over, if so, it appears to be a VG deal on one night MR's based on some sample testing I've been trying this a.m.
will I get hotel credit, specifically at spg and MR? I've never booked a hotel via AA Vacations

I would use $75 off Plus 2500 miles promote code TAKEBOTH in turn of maxing out the miles.
I didn't get any credit from aavacation booking for SPG, not sure about MR.
However, I never tried the trick "ordering something (ie. internet access) during the stay would count for 1 stay."
Hello, First, thanks for finding such a great deal.
I am a new poster (first!) - and live in the DC area. If I were to book a flight (LAX-LAS) and happened to miss my flight, do I still get miles? I understand I would lose my fare ($3-$13)

Any consideration if AA Vacation flights booked for cash+miles are good toward earning miles? That really could drive down the cost of acquisition/retention of EXP status.

Ordinarily AA will not credit your account for miles from flights which you don't fly. In other words, any flights you book which go unflown will not credit to your AA account.

Thank you for answering! Still a great deal for those lucky enough to take advantage of it. Good luck to all.
