Switch back to DL SM # after assigning KE# to view flight online?
I'm flying on Dec 31st SEA to ICN and want to be able to get exit rows with my PM/ST+. It sounds like some folks at the 30 day mark have been able to do that which is great, but I have a question:
I bought my tickets and used DL# at time of purchase via Expedia.
Then I created a KE Skypass account and updated my itinerary via Expedia to the new KE# so that I could see the trip on the KE website. This all worked well.
However, I have no KE status so I switched back Expedia to my DL# for when I reach the 30 day window so I can do preferred seating.
Expedia now shows my DL#, but when I login to KE Skypass I see my reservation still shows my KE#.
My Questions
1) Has anyone else had this "split" occur where KE and Expedia no longer agree on what FF# the itinerary is using?
2) For those of you that booked exit row on your KE flight, did you have your DL# assigned at the time of booking? If yes, had you previously updated your itn to KE# at some point to get it to show online and then later went back to your DL# before seat selection or just been DL# all the way?
3) Did you use online seat selector on KE or did you have to do chat?
4) My KE record gives this message "There are no international e-Ticket records under your SKYPASS number" when I try to print the e-Ticket intinerary from KE.com. Is that what everyone else sees?
I've read every post over the last couple of months as they trickle in, but in a search I didn't see answers to these "flow" questions on booking the seat selections yet.

Can't answer all of your questions, but can say I get the same e-ticket message when I try to print from KE.com... and with seat assignments. Though I don't leave until December 24, I got my seat assignments on Expedia, and these show also on my KE.com itinerary. But oddly, for fun I checked this flight and fare on Expedia (as a new customer... now $2800) with same flight numbers, and when I preview the seat availability it shows my assigned seat as open. Not sure what is going on.

Just logged into Expedia and looked up my trip. Everything looks OK.
I could also select seats for a trip in next March. Lots of seats were already taken, though.
At the beginning of September, an erroneous fare was briefly published for travel on Korean Air from North America to Palau. We regret to inform you that Korean Air is unable to honor this erroneous fare for travel and has cancelled all tickets, including yours. As an accommodation for any inconvenience the cancellation of your ticket may cause you, Korean Air offers you:
1) Full refund of the amount paid without penalty, or the opportunity to purchase a ticket on the same itinerary on Korean Air at a price equal to the lowest fare offered by Korean Air for the same itinerary or the closest similar market during the past year; and
2) Reimbursement for any additional expenses incurred by you as a result of having purchased this ticket such as cancellation fees for previously booked flights, hotels, and ground transportation; and
3) A USD $200 travel voucher for a future flight to any Korean Air destination from a Korean Air U.S. gateway on Korean Air operated flights. The travel voucher will be valid for one year from the date of issuance (Nov. 7, 2011) and cannot be bartered, transferred, or sold.
Please remember, your ticket for travel on Korean Air has been cancelled and you will not be able to travel without a valid ticket. Therefore, it is imperative that you contact us as soon as possible by telephone or e-mail as set forth below if you would like to accept this offer.
To make your travel arrangements, please call us for further assistance. To claim additional expenses for reimbursement, please send supporting documents for verification via e-mail, fax, or mail.

Let's see how long it takes before someone threatens to sue. Not counting people who actually will go ahead and sue if canceled, just those who threaten and don't .
I didn't end up booking this but I hope something works out for everyone who did.
Edit: Just saw FlyingUnderTheRadar's post. Doesn't sound promising now for anyone keeping the fare, it's gonna get interesting.
uggggh. My only real thought is: so many great deals I could have jumped on in the last month (hello bishkek?) if I hadn't been setting off all winter for this!
Got that email as well. Is there any recourse or other actions we can take? They are giving full refunds and a voucher and is that enough that we wouldn't have a case and no valid complaint to the authorities? In the email they say "if you would like to accept this offer" but isn't "this offer" automatic for everyone? I am so distraught but knew what could happen when getting this. Surprised they let this go on for so long.
Ughhhh...I got the same email (see below). So what's the next step? They could've warned all of us LONG before now
