Farecompare shows a $219 WAS-SFO R fare, along with a number of other 5 cpm R fares ex-WAS to CA on US. I can't find it, though, when I go to usair.com, nor with the help of a non-too-helpful US CSR. (It can't be true, can it, that CSRs just see "coach" space, that they don't see different fare buckets within "coach," can it? The agent didn't know from "R" fares or much else.)

Farecompare doesn't show $219 to SFO or LAX from BWI or ex-WAS (DCA or IAD). Should I figure that means UA doesn't have the fare, or just that I haven't come across it?

US has R space for DCA/IAD-CLT/PHL-SFO on 5/29. Kayak will do it for you.

The UA fares are bookable. I didn't see any WAS-SFO/LAX on CO/UA but this is a match of US' fares not the other way around so check back in a few hours.

I wish it was the other way around so I could book it for Memorial Day -- an $800 flight to FLL on CO/UA is going to kill me.

If only the 8:30 AM flight ex-LAX was available when I bought it - not looking forward to a midnight arrival into EWR. :(

I tried the dates going from LAX-NYC on continental.com united.com and Kayak and am not pulling up that fare. Is the deal dead? Lowest now is $299 ai.

I was also unable to replicate for a large set of dates.

If you change the dates to May 28th to May 30th, you get $259 ai. Still can't get $219 ai.

Fares from SFO to NYC are gone. I was able to find $329 ai 45 minutes ago but now the same flight is $704.

The best I could find when I first looked quick was a $258+tax JFK-SFO-LAX-SFO-JFK same day turn 5/29 on UA.com, although I could not spend much time on it as I was busy at work :( and already have a MR booked for this weekend.

Thanks! While not a great airfare, better than it has been. And my UDU has already cleared for Sat departure/Sun return.
