[FARE GONE] KL: MAD-LIM $393.90 AI (V class, 2.6cpm to Skymiles)

Hi everybody,

This fare seems to be bookable on Expedia and Orbitz, but not on KLM website. Sample dates May 28 - June 6, but available for many other dates. Also available from BCN
Books into V class, which (according to Skymiles TOS and Delta forum FAQ) earns 100% miles.
Maybe it should go to the "long thread", as the YQ is somehow automatically missing, but 2.6cpm seemed good enough for a separate thread.

They seem to run this deal every few months. Some friends booked it in Nov-09 for 10-Feb - 09-Mar with 527$, still a bargain for this distance.

nice find.

Routes look interesting as well if you can get V availability:

V isn't in Delta's list of MQM earning fares

http://www.delta.com/skymiles/about_.../index.jsp#klm

the fare is great but if its not going to to earn MQM ....

But Earn Miles on partner Airlines, there is no exclusion! What gives?

KLM flights booked into V were earning 100% miles (redeemable miles and status miles) when credited to DL accounts in 2008. Remember those very cheap HEL-AMS-SIN-AMS-HEL flights? They were booked in V and credited to DL quite often -- generally without a problem.

Yes, but why does the page linked by werldporks states other wise?
Is Delta speaking from both sides of its mouth?
Over the years Delta has been lazy updating information on sites controlled by it. As an example, the Skymiles site sowed lounge locations at Don Mueng airport in BKK for a couple of years after Suvarnabhumi opened for business.

Is the KLM V Fare Credit Question Resolved?

KLM V Class fares, NW Worldperks number, EQM miles?

That's how it worked late last year as well.

KLM V-fares credited to NW at 100%.
Nevertheless, it is understood (and regretted) that DL is different...

I just booked a few weeks ago and traveled last weekend:

IND > ATL booked DL, operated DL
ATL > LHR booked KL, operated DL
LHR > MSP booked KL, operated DL
MSP > IND booked KL, operated DL

all segments were V class - (US Bank/Visa points used)

The only leg that auto posted to my skymiles account immediately was the first leg. I waited until last Thursday to call and ask about the other 3 legs not posting. I was put on hold for a good 10 min before the lady came back and said I should be credited and she had put in a request.

Less than 24 hours later, the other 3 posted without issue.
<<shrug>>

Works, but I had to call.

Thanks justdmbobbo for the up-to-date info. Now to make it work with the 2 other EU MRs.

Where those flights KL- or DL-coded?
From SM site "All other classes of service do not accrue mileage. This chart applies only when traveling on KLM Airlines-coded flights." Since V is not listed and the flights are only KL-coded, one concludes that these flights will accrue no SkyMiles.

Books just fine on DL.com; which offers a few dates at this price that ITA didn't 'see'.

Thanks OP
