Post UA: EQS Run Request for ORD

Hi All -

First off, thank you in advance for reading and (hopefully) replying.

I need 6 segements before EOY to maintain status on UA.

Originally I was going the route of:

12/21: ORD - PIT - IAD - RDU
12/22: RDU - IAD - PIT - ORD
Total: $296 (one night stay in RDU, using hotel points)

But the price just jumped to $328. I wanted to check to see if there is a better run out there to obtain the same segments?

Dates are somewhat flexible as I have the last 2 weeks of the year off-work.

Many thanks in advance!

Thanks,
Greg

If you can go before the DEQS promo ends then:

12/15:
ORD - IND - IAD - LGA - ORD. $188 a/i. Home in time for dinner.
(You can also add IAD on the return if you want a couple extra segments.)

I second the suggestion that you do this before 12/16. Some cheaper options:

12/7 shows tons of availability ORD-IAD-LGA-ORD for $165 a/i.

12/11,12, 14 & 15: same routing for $177 ai.

3 segments by 12/15 (w/DEQS registration) = 6 segments. Just what the doctor ordered.

EQS run ex-ORF or ex-RIC?

Any thoughts from the learned folks here on a same-day turn DEQS run ex-ORF or ex-RIC by 12/15?

I am seven segments short of making 1P for the first time, so all I need are two segments each way. Sounds simple, no? But I've struck out after spending quite a bit of time messing around on ITA trying both hubs and smaller stations as destinations. Nothing under $250ai.

I'm kicking myself -- on Friday, there were tons of choices ex-RIC for under $175ai, but they've all evaporated.

I wonder what my family would think of me doing a true seven-segment MR on Dec. 25....

Thanks a lot for the replies, guys!

Unfortunately, I'm already traveling this week and next week, Sunday - Friday.

I tried to price those routes out with some extra segments for the 2 weeks I am available and they come out to ~$500.

Any other ideas?

Thanks Again!!!
Greg

$210 ai:

12/15 RIC-ORD-MCO-ORD-RIC

About 2hrs10mins layover each stop. Depart RIC 7:23am (or 6:04am if you're feeling especially masochistic); gets you home 11:59pm.

OK, how about $319 on 12/20? There are at least 3 different ORD-*-*-PIT-*-*-ORD routes possible, with IAD, CMH, ROC, DTW, and IND in the mix. ORD-DTW-IAD-PIT-IAD-IND-ORD has the fewest tight connections (40 mins at IAD from DTW to PIT).
