MSP-DELTA/NWA Mileage Run

Well, the MSP-MKE cheap fares are gone

I did find MSP-SJU on November 13, for $374 with taxes on a same day return

Any other thoughts/ideas? I need about 5k-7k more on NWA/DELTA/CO

I saw one for MSP-BOS-JFK-LAX-MSP for 5635 miles @ 7.62cpm. Not great, but it gets you the miles you need. Let me know if you find something. I am looking to try to get 3,200 miles for $200 or less out of MSP.

There are some decent fares (on DL.com, but not NWA.com) to Germany in December.... MUC, FRA, and Berlin.... a little over 6 cents/mile ex MSP connecting in ATL. On some days you can add a connection in MEM for the difference in tax.

i am mad as i wanted to go to germany (i was going to stay 4-5 days).
There are some flights MSP/SJU for $318 ai.... but you need to stay overnight.... and i only see avail early in the week (mon/tue/wed)...
I think it 4800 or so miles and you can go msp/dtw/atl/sju for more.

Some what off topic, however..
I'm a long time lurker looking to quickly gain miles / status for next years travel.
How plausable is it to start with scratch on DL/NW and acheive at least Silver by the end of the year?
Can it be done without breaking the bank?

you have zero miles ytd?
I would wait until Jan.... if you make Silver in Jan, you get status immediately, so it last basicly 2 years. In any case Silver really not worth much on an investment IMO....

I found MSP-MKE-DTW-BWI-SLC-LAX-MKE-MSP for $433 A/I using orbitz multi-city, leaving early 12/12, with an overnight in LA.

Correct, 0 miles year to date.
However, like said, I will be traveling a lot more next year and therefore wanted to get the ball rolling.
Perhaps your right about Jan unless a deal comes by to spark my intrest...

I've never flown bascially for 24 hours like this...I've done Syndey and Asia many times, just always done it in FIRST, this will be coach...
