alternatives for ONT-TPA MR // LH M&M

Hi everyone,

Iīm thinking about a couple of MRs next January in order to qualify early for my M&M status.
(For those not familiar with M&M: Y earns 50%/100%, C 200% and F 300%, exec. bonus is 25% on base miles)

The best I have found is ONT-xxx-PHL/WAS-TPA on UA/US:
20k-25k miles (depending on exact routing) for about $575 a.i. r/t.

Are there any better deals (domestic or international) around?
Could start the MR either from Europe or the US, if there is a spectacular offer from somewhere else, I would also consider that option.
Also, I wouldnīt mind spending some time at my destination which might be required due to a Sar. night rule etc.

Thankīs in advance!

Best regards,
Jasper2009

Not better in terms of $ per mile but there is a J class special ex Austria. LNZ-PEK is about 24k and coasts 850€ with a amex discount. Details here:

Thankīs for your comment, flying_student!
I have already considered using the AUA offer to fly to the US (not really interested in PEK due to visa issues etc.), itīs a good offer but not that great for a MR.

I might also do a LX C MR (10k miles for 350€-400€), but it isnīt nearly as good as the ONT-TPA MR in terms of $.

Any other ideas are greatly appreciated!

ONT-TPA is certainly the best deal now. Try routing through LGA to maximize mileage. CO flights are now available too. Perhaps you can route through EWR?

This is a great fare--let's try to be discrete about it. It's been around for a LONG time and many, many FTers would like to keep it that way!

But BD hasn't published CO mileage levels....does code share work too?

Good question. These are UA codeshares, but that is an important point to consider. Hopefully BD will publish mileage levels soon. I can't fathom A fares on CO not earning 300% EQM.
