Not a bad fare. Ticket requires a 28 day advance purchase.

Fare rules say a stop over is allowed in ATL in either direction but not both. However, you can also price this fare via JFK.

this looks great - any ideas on cheap hotels to make it a truly frugal trip ? virgin islands had a widespread 25 cent hotel thing for a while but that ends Nov 15th or so.

no. it ends on dec 15. i just book a trip. however, it cant be 3 nights because
the flight out of SFO is redeye.(the system wont shift one night)
have to lose one night.
i now have to find a way to fly to SFO (i live on the east coast. )

i try to fly back via JFK for the same price. however, the guys at bookit cant seem to see it (they say it costs 1xx more). so. i didnt press too hard and i will fly atl on both directions. in the grand scheme of thing. it is a good enough deal already.

I would get off St. Thomas and head to St. John. Very pretty and most of it is a national park.

I can't find any RT fare at this price on delta.com. I assume this price quote is based on OW purchase. Can someone clarify?

Found the fare but on limited dates. I already got a decent fare to STT over Christmas and New Years for 323 AI about a month ago. Not quite as good from a pure $ perspective, but competitive considering the dates I was able to get it.

Fare is gone.

We booked two trips, but canceled one already. It's basically a trip SFO-ATL-SFO with connections in ATL and STT on the outbound. We never leave the airport in STT. Oh well, one day!

It's gone now, but it was definitely not thru 12/15. I got it for May 2010 (Memorial Day weekend), and no concerns about extra long connections in ATL, as an ATL stopover was allowed per the fare rules.

We have family in ATL, so we stop there for a day on the return.
