I assume that you mean AA. The JFK/SFO route is a three class 767 (762) and I think there may be one flight that is a two class 767 (763). The 763s have the NGBC seats. AA clears upgrades by elite level and then date of request. If you are EXP and book early you should have a good shot. All of my JFK/LAX or SFO flights have cleared so far this year. So try to book early. Not sure if this fare is still around but you can still do for $239 ai, that still a very good fare. And triple RDMs with the NY bonus and double EQMs through 12/15.
Thanks---just checked and my 12/01 and 12/02 flights (booked yesterday for 179 each) are on the 767 (762)s... What's business like on the 762?

i'm looking for 12/4-12/7 & 12/11-12/14 jfk-sfo-lax or jfk-lax-sfo...
what are the chances that fares will drop under $300 ai ?
Has anyone flown this before? What's the configuration as far as Y, C, J, and what are the chances of an ExPlat getting upgraded? I know the JFK-LAX routes are nearly impossible...
Not true. I'm a Plat and have cleared 6/8 JFK-LAX.

Pre departure drinks (champagne for afternoon and evening flights). Full dinner service with choice of two entrees. Ice Cream sundae or fruit and cheese platter for desert. Baked cookie and sparking water before landing. The FAs tend to be fairly liberal with the booze on afternoon and evening flights. The IFE dvds will be handed out shortly after take off and collected about 30 minutes before landing. There is a fairly sizable movie selection. Duvets and big pillow.
Sorry, noted that in previous post but should have reiterated..
flying JFK-SFO 12/1 and 12/2 on AA... I am an EXP and booked around the 6th of October..
Make sure you have requested UPG's. Tues/Wed are usually good. Check the seat map on aa.com (no guarantee, but a good guideline) for your flights for further info.

I'm on the JFK/SFO 9AM departure and 220PM return on 12/1. You should be able to upgrade. If you don't have AC access, PM and I get guess you in that day. AC at SFO is small but comfortable and a great staff is weather and other issues arise. Otherwise, see you in J.

On the same flights---I'll PM you closer to the date. Thanks for the AC offer!
It appears that B6 is running this sale again, and AA is matching to JFK/BOS with availability of Tues/Wed.
I tried dates in January but this ends by 12/15. I don't need the miles for EXP (requalified way back in July and have already hit the 125K miles for the promotion) and time for me is tight in November and December. Still, a good deal even for RDMs (which for me would be triple). Feel like I am having MR withdrawal.
