DL: JFK-ZRH $294 ai

only possible for this weekend. (example, sept 25-28)
but with amex bonus, elite bonus,
it nets 23000 miles.

i want to fly but i cant find a cheap place to stay in ZRH for two nights.
so. i may have to pass it (given that i have been there before.)

The funny thing is that the fare basis is TINTRO.
so. it is an introductory fare and signals other that it is one-time thing?

What a great find! Too bad I already have plans for the weekend I didn't realize that DL did weekend web deals for international. Did you just stumble across this or is it advertised somewhere?

Thanks!

i do farecompare MANY times a day for europe as i plan to use my 300 ECV. it just came across when i did it an hour ago.

re: couchsharing. i have read about it. but for 2 nights. i dont think they can expect the guest to do any house work, etc? it was much cheaper when i was there 3 years ago. i cant even find a bed for 100 USD for TWO nights.

with the cost for bed + driving to NYC, and the short stay. not worth my effort this time.

Or Priceline. You can usually get a pretty good room (PL 4-star) in Glattbrugg for a bid of 75 USD.

Using Tram Line 10, getting around is a snap.

Try getting a hostel. You should be able to get something ok for like $30/night.

great deal. ex-WAS is $430 all-in.

considering most europe fares are still $700+, this is pretty useful.

i agree that Zurich is not cheap. i was there last month and got a little bit of sticker shock. spent $13 US for fast food.

www.lastminutetravel.com

has the Crowne Plaza Zürich for $86 if this fare comes up again. I was in Zürich last weekend and paid just under $100/nt for an Etap, which didn't even supply shampoo. I waited until the last minute to book, and the CP deal was gone by then.

Zürich is definitely expensive. On the other hand, they have free 3-speed bikes to lend out.

I checked DL -- they still have the fare available Sat 26 Sep - Mon 28 Sep. That's only one night in Zürich.

Don't you get 25000 miles just for the New International Routes promo + Delta amex bonus that ends 30 Sep? That comes to 40724 miles counting that promo and the double miles promo, and not counting any elite bonus. $.007/mile.

I'm already committed to attending the NWA-DO at MSP this weekend...but otherwise would seriously consider this....

So any idea why this came up? Maybe a glitch in Delta's system? Is the flight THAT empty that they are trying to fill it?
