does anyone know if immigration in Switzerland will be a pain about same day turn? I am holding tix now for sat-mon, but would prefer not to take a day off esp with hotels being costly.

You had to sign up by the end of August, so it's too late. Those who signed up before then can still squeeze this in before the end of September.

Check tomorrow. The same-day return referenced above was definitely not there last night -- I checked all possibilities for the weekend. Of course, it could disappear completely at any time.

FYI, earlier this year when I was in Zurich I stayed two nights at the Renaissance near the airport for $81 (using name your own price on PL). Great location between the airport and center city--just take the tram four or five stops from the airport.

Swiss couldn't care less.

I realized I forgot something in the lounge Monday after I had gone to the gate. Went back, had to go back through passport control into Switzerland, and then back out 10 minutes later.

Despite both new stamps being on the same page, no one cared- at all. The girl stamping me out asked me what was up... after she had stamped me out. More curious than anything else.

(Why on Earth are the ZRH lounges landside, I have no idea.)

no need to do the LGA thing, I can see $492 a/i ATL>JFK>ZRH which is only $18 more than what you referenced. You will spend that going from LGA to JFK and it will be less convenient.
