US/AA: CAE-SJO $258+ r/t

Excellent fare out of Columbia, SC to San Jose, CR - $258+ r/t. Just book my buddy and I to go there leaving Nov. 13th returning Nov. 17th.

I think this fare is available on other days also.

Also available on AA.

Not suitable for mileage running- but a good fare to SJO, none the less.

It seems to be available almost every day to the end of the schedule.

Decided to do this. Not a bad fare at all.

Has anyone found this from other cities? Seems like recently when we've had good fares to Central America they've been available from quite a few different cities.

I can't find a decent routing on AA without overnights in the U.S.

CAE-DFW-RSW-MIA-SJO and back is legal, but it forces an overnight in RSW.

The US Air routing works well - about 6+ hours each way - depart CAE 9:30AM arrive 2:30 PM, returning at 3:30PM arriving CAE at 11:18.

This is in Jan of 2010 (Daylight savings in effect).

No overnights.

Using US Air for *A credit to United. Double miles (elite bonus) too as a 1K.

Prefer US on this route...

I prefer US on this route as I can leave CAE by 7:30 AM and be in San Jose by 1:30 PM, return SJO aroudn 2:30 PM and be back in CAE by mid-night. No overnight stays in MIA or RSW.

To be fair, AA doesn't REQUIRE an overnight. I'm actually doing a CAE-DFW-MIA-SJO-DFW-CAE routing without a US overnight... but such a timid routing doesn't an MR make.

A late Summer getaway to restore my sanity, is another matter entirely.

CO has matched as well but only through IAH. CO eliminated the CAE-EWR flights so mileage accruals are minimal. Good fare for CAE....They didn't match here in CHS or in GSP so book it and go........A flex search on co.com did show a 1 day turn but did not check same day......

DL?

OK - so we have US, AA and CO on board with this fare. I wonder when will DL jump on it and offer us a deal?

I'm finding LAX->SJO at 305+ R/T looks pretty sweet.
